The Channeling Erik Event in Belgium

We had a little incident last night that was very upsetting. Michelle found a female Jack Russell terrier on a busy street, and she was almost run over. She had no tags, so Michelle took her home. We had her scanned at a 24 hour emergency vet center, and she did have a chip, but the vet failed to register it so we don’t have the owner’s information. We just have the name of the vet. We decided to keep her in the backyard and set her up with a bed, food and water. She seemed so sweet, but suddenly, she attacked our cat Ringo with such viciousness that it was clear she intended to kill him. Once Michelle saved Ringo, the dog left the yard and is no where to be found. We called the vet this morning, and they’re trying to do the appropriate detective work. Meanwhile, Ringo is in surgery for multiple serious wounds. Hopefully, he’ll do fine and will return tomorrow. We have no idea if the dog was up to date on immunizations, so Ringo will have to have a rabies shot. Here’s a picture of the dog waiting to get scanned.

Another thing I want to discuss is the Channeling Erik Blog Members Facebook Page. Many people have been banned for discussing “negative” topics like the situation in North Korea. My personal opinion is that, as Erik has said many times, there is no “negative” or “positive.” There is no “right” or “wrong.” Instead, everything is an experience meant to push of forward and, negative or positive, there are many valuable lessons and teachable moments to be had. Many think that the page should be purely dedicated to positive, metaphysical and spiritual topics, but I think that no topic should be taboo because discussion can generate so much wisdom and reflection. Of course, I think that anyone who engages in judgmental statements, personal insults or attacks should be banned, but not those who discuss their opinions and the opinions of others in a respectful manner. But since I’m only one person, I want your opinion, too. Do you want a sanitized version of the page or one open to all topics? Please take the poll!

Now enjoy today’s Rolling with Erik and don’t forget that tonight is the first Monday Hour of Enlightenment!  It’s at 5:00 PM PT/7:00 PM CT/8:00 PM ET. No more than 15 minutes before the top of the hour, call 619-639-4606 to ask Erik your question. There are three ways to listen: Listen on the phone line, click on the “Listen” icon on the right sidebar of the blog or click on this link: http://goo.gl/aFHTzJ

Gosh, I hope that little dog get found, he’d probably been through a lot. You tried!

My hope always is that people use blogs, sm, fb groups, etc. for learning from and about each other. Sadly, many times people just use these forums to project ugliness, drown out the voices of those whose views differ from theirs and spew hatred. I know it is not simplistic because we each are invested in our points of view. I have felt marginalized in that group before when I have felt that my humanity was seen as of lesser value than others. Yes, we are all having experiences and “negative” experiences have their value. If we can’t discuss in a way that ultimately move us forward vs causing more division and descension, then what is our end goal? Even if experiences are neither good or bad, we still thrive more in loving harmonious spaces and we do have to be mindful of how we invest our energies. Just my 2c.

Maybe we CAn ask Erika about this take over energy I’ve noticed has been going on and On . I guess everyone just wants to be heard and everyone wants there way and everyone wants to seems like they have It when they don’t and wants To Hear and Particate Usually ONnly ON the Postive Or GOod SIde So Maybe It Appears That Way.

Sending juju to Ringo and that innocent-looking little Jack Russell too. Geesh!

I’ve been on a Facebook break for about six weeks and loving it but I’m going back on to join in a private group. Good luck to admin. It’s not easy to enforce civility in big groups. I’ve had people in larger groups speak to me in a way I know they would not think of doing in person. I leave such groups immediately if I can see no one in admin is going to call them on it.

Being an admin in a group this big is a very tough job for sure! We just wanted people to be civil.

      • Jennifer

absolutely, when people cross the line of civil behavior (and in a large group you have to be generous with the line or everyone would be out) admin is required to warn, and when warnings are not heeded, expulsion is required. It is never EVER about the topic, but the behavior that continues rather abusively to others AND admin that is unacceptable. The focus on this issue is being twisted. Ask Erik!!

Well, I want to share with you all what a wonderful day I had in Belgium. I met very beautiful people. Emanuelle McIntosh, so warm, full of love, showing in a natural way how to be and act like oneself. Kari, amazing inspiring energetic loving. Patricia, with whom I felt a click talking to each other. Free and Els, who gave me a feeling of kinship in lots of things. And finally of course our ‘hero’ Erik who hugged all of us, using Emanuelle as kind of a messenger. Thank you all, I wish you love, light and peace on the road you have to go.

    He’s so cute!

Wow I loved these highlight clips! What got me tearing up was seeing Erik through Emmanuelle. That was profound for me, and the message was so clear. Thank You for sharing. Much love.

So good to read that Ringo is recovering. How sad that in attempting to help one animal, poor Ringo was attacked. Sending lots of love and light to all involved. I hope Michelle resolves the emotions she must be feeling about this. <3
