Our Soul Group

Update on Doug: He got out of surgery pretty late so I wasn’t able to visit him yesterday. I know the surgery went well, but he says he’s in a lot of pain, which is to be expected. I’ll give y’all another update soon. Meanwhile, keep the Reiki coming if you can!

For those of you signed up for the Atlanta Fun Fest, Weedie should have the hotel information tomorrow.

Last but not least, I’ve been playing with my iMemories account lately, so enjoy another home movie at the end of the post by clicking on “Erik’s Air Conditioning.”

Channeling Transcript

Me: Okay, now, let’s venture a bit from disease to something else. I’d like to know more about our soul group, Erik. First of all, how big is it? Just give me a “more or less” head count, I guess.

(Long Pause)

Me (thinking I must need to give more specifics to get this party started): Our core soul family, then.

Erik: Well, just keep in mind that you always have the right to leave your soul group, but our numbers—

Jamie (to Erik): Isn’t that kind of big? Eighty-four?

Me: Wow. That’ll be a hell of a family reunion.

Erik (laughing): We’re shakers and doers!

Me: Damn straight. Much to the annoyance of many people, no doubt.

Jamie giggles.

Jamie: Pretty funny!

Me: Okay, so 84, um, now is there a mother you’ve had in the past as connected as you and I are?

I think, “Please for the love of god say ‘no.’” Gulp.

(Short pause)

Me: It’s okay. You can say “yes” if there is.

Erik: Actually, there’s not, Mom.

Phew!

Me: Okay—

Erik: I’ve continued some really good friendships with my mothers from the past, but really, you and I been friends, we’ve been siblings, we’ve been all these things together—-

Me: Oh, yeah! That’s what I want to know too! What kind of relationships have we had? So, friends, siblings, mother/son—

Erik: We’ve been several different things, Mom. You’ve actually been my daughter before.

Me: Oh, wow!

Erik: Unfortunately, I remember I didn’t get to spend a lot of time with you due to a war situation.

Jamie: It looks like he pretty much had to leave for war.

Erik (jovially): But I didn’t die! I didn’t die!

Me: Okay. Yay!

Erik: I came back; I just didn’t get to spend a lot of time with you.

Me: Yeah.

Erik: And, we’ve been business partners. Look at us now, even. We were friends, mother/son, and here we are, as pretty much business partners.

Me: Yeah, I guess you’re right! That’s true. I’ll always feel like your mama first, though. But I was wondering if there was a mother/child relationship for you that was even stronger than ours, then when you crossed over, you probably, you know, um, the emotional, uh, strength of our connection might decrease from your perspective. You might think, “Meh, she was one of my mothers. You know, whatever. Blah, blah, blah.”

(Notice my nervous stammering. Please tell me there’s no Boogie Man.)

Jamie giggles.

Erik: Well, you definitely wanna seek your family members out from the past, but the connection is so fresh to the life you’re living right now.

Me: Oh, yeah, of course.

(Pause)

Me: Who, in the soul group, are you most connected to other than Jillian, Erik? Maybe name your top five in the group or whatever.

Erik: Um, there’s a brother in a past life, John.

Me: Okay.

Erik: I really respect him. I respect how he sees life, and how he handles it.

Me: Um hm.

Erik: Uh, I would definitely put you way up there. You always, always, in every life, made me a better person.

Me: Aw, good! And likewise, Baby.

Erik: You never failed to do that, Mom.

(Pause)

Erik: I would put, definitely, Jillian in that.

Me: Oh, yeah, and probably Michelle, I bet. I don’t know, you were pretty close here this last time around, anyway. I don’t know if that always translates into being close in the soul group in spirit.

Erik: Oh, most of the time, it does, Mom.

Me: Yeah.

Erik: God it’s so hard to pick five. I’d put Michelle, Ingrid—

(I have no idea who that is.)

Erik: —and everyone else in our immediate family, of course.

Me: Oh! I just realized I’m going over time here. Sorry Jamie. Thank you for a wonderful session, and Erik, I love you very much Sweetie.

Erik: I love you too, Mom. Keep up the great work! I know I give you a lot of hell sometimes, but you know I love you!

Me: Aw! No you don’t! Alright, I love you too! Bye Jamie. Get some sleep!

Jamie (giggling): I will. Bye!
