Raising Indigos

Feeling about the same, but at least the headaches has lessened. Thanks for all of your well wishing.

Many of you have been sending me your questions for the Ask Erik column, but by Monday morning, I had received already over one hundred and can only take 10-12. Be sure you try again next month, and if you read the blog daily, you’re more likely to catch my call out.

Just a reminder: Tomorrow at 7 PM CT is Erik’s Hour of Enlightenment radio show. Call 619-639-4606 15 minutes prior to talk to Erik. http://goo.gl/aFHTzJ Erik is going to talk about the afterlife and his life as a spirit.

Enjoy today’s post about Raising Indigos! Sometimes it’s a challenge. I know because I’ve raised a few myself!

Me: Hi, Kim. Hi, Erik.

Kim: Hello.

Me: What’s up?

Erik: What’s up, Mom?

Me: Nothing much. We’ll go on to our very last topic. I was going to talk about how to raise Indigos and Crystals, but maybe we’ll spend one session on one and one on the other. We can talk about Indigos. I think a couple of my kids are Indigos. Tell me about them.

Erik (Acting like a girl and swishing his hips and shoulders): “Oo, tell me about them! Tell me about them!”

Kim: He’s acting so silly!

Me: Am I being too sassy?

Kim: He’s just really charming. He’s being really sweet with you.

Me: Aw.

Kim: Like he’s pleased. That’s the energy he gives.

Erik (laughing): Indigos, Mom, are hard to raise!

Me: Tell me about it. I can think of one person who shall remain nameless. She’s definitely an Indigo. I’ve heard that Indigos are here to break old structures down and Crystals are supposed to come in and rebuild it. Is that true?

Erik: Yeah, and that’s why they’re so hard to raise. If you have a child who’s an Indigo or even if you’re married to one, it’s really hard because structure, to them, doesn’t make sense, and it’s not even the human thought process getting in the way. It’s at more of a core level. Indigos are very intuitive to a point that they are very telepathic but also just intuitive. First let me break down the telepathic part. These are people who can finish your sentences. These are people who, from across town, might text you when you’re thinking of them. They’re very telepathic.

Me: Oh, yeah. She knows. She’ll say like, “Mom, is something wrong? I sense that something’s wrong.” Yeah, that’s so true.

Kim: Aw.

Erik: They’re able to connect and “know” if something is happening and when it’s happening without being there and without being told. It’s because they’re claircognizant. They’re also very intuitive, and that’s where they have to break the mold. They’re like, “No, I feel like I have to do this.” They feel that way because it’s their intuition. So, when structure is thrown at them or even consequences, you might see that they couldn’t care less. Consequences don’t make sense to them because these are very intellectual people who are very self-driven, and they don’t think like that, Mom. They don’t think like, “Oh, if I do this, this is the consequences.”

Me: No wonder they’re hard to raise!

Erik: Yeah, it’s more about trusting the process. These people trust the process of life from point A, B, C, D and so on rather than thinking, “A is the action, and B is the consequence.” That’s very old style, and we’re going to see that thought process fade out more and more. Here’s an example. If you have a toddler who is an Indigo and they do something that is beyond them that they shouldn’t be doing, and you say, “Don’t do that again or else,” they don’t care about your “or else.” They might not respond to that type of discipline. They might even have a hard time in school with rules and regulations and order because they’re deeply internally driven. It’s really hard for them, too, because they’re intellectual; they’re very telepathic and claircognizant of themselves, so when the outside world tells them otherwise, it’s almost confusing to them as to why they should rely on the external. When they see other people do it or are asked to do it, too, you might see them withdraw and put their guard up or push back a little bit.

Kim: This is interesting. He’s talking about how they might be perceived as someone who doesn’t trust well.

Erik: But the concept of trust doesn’t need to be there for them anyway like, “I trust you. I trust this process.” It’s more about a sense of knowing that the thing that’s happening is supposed to be happening.

Me: Oh!

Erik: So, they might seem like people who are very picky about where they place their trust or who they trust. But it’s more on a core level. Some of them are not conscious about their knowingness, but it’s on a core level.

Me: What’s their age range?

Kim: Let me finish this real quick.

Me: Yeah, go ahead.

Kim: He’s talking really fast, and I might lose it!

Erik: They’re very cognizant of the way their thoughts and the way all of the energy in the headspace affects their life. The Indigos are the people that KNOW that their thoughts create reality, and they use it as such.

Me: Mm.

Erik: It’s all about incorporating the spiritual self vs. the human self, the spiritual self being the Indigo coming in.

The screen freezes so I call her back.

Me: Okay, I don’t know what happened. You just froze all of a sudden, but that’s okay. We don’t have that much more to talk about. Do you remember what Erik was saying?

Kim: Absolutely. He’s intense on this!

Erik: The way you can know and identify Indigos is that these are the people that have an intimate relationship with their thoughts but with a very positive outcome and with a positive knowing that the way that they interact with their thoughts and employ them to manifest the reality they want. They’re very cognizant of their actions. They may also seem like overly analytical people, over-analyzing almost everything because they know the collateral effects of what they do and what their energy does and is.

Kim: He’s addressing your question about the age range. He’s pointing at me. I’ve never considered myself and Indigo, but these are the people that come in to break down structure.

Me: Well, what’s the youngest? How old are the youngest and how old are the oldest, more or less?

Erik: They’re still being born.

Me: Oh! Okay.

Erik: As far as the oldest, in the thirties.

Me: Okay. Are they prone to any particular mental or physical problems?

Erik: Not really, but if anything, they’re prone to being overly emotionally emphatic.

Me: Okay. Are you talking about an overly heightened sense of justice? That’s what my Indigo is like. If somebody treats her little brother badly, she will like, uh, she has a very heightened sense of what’s just and how there should be justice.

And she’s open up a can of whoop ass on them.

Erik: Right, and emotionally emphatic over anything. They’re very emotionally powerful people. These are people that bleed passion for whatever they’re passionate about. These are people that are emotionally driven but in a good way like their emotions don’t often cause destruction. It seems like their emotions create more love or a higher vibration.

Me: Well, that’s good! Collectively, do they have a spiritual purpose beyond breaking down old structures?

Erik: They’re here to pave the way for new life. I’m talking about a new way of life, a new way of being, a new way of existing, so not only do they break down old patterns, but they also create space, vibrationally—it’s not actual physical space—setting up the vibration in a way that will naturally give life to new thought processes, new order, new structures. But in turn, it actually results in less structure and less attachment. They’re the people that come in busting up attachments.

Me: Yeah, because my Indigo doesn’t care anything about material possessions or money or anything like that. Those are very unimportant to her. Is that part of what you’re saying?

And she doesn’t care about typical traditions. For example, she didn’t bother going to her high school graduation and she got married through a Justice of the Peace.

Erik: Yeah, and they’re often criticized for being careless with things or money because they know that the things and the money will pass away. That’s not what they’re here for.

Me: Okay.

Erik: They’re the ones that come in, break up structure and order and set the stage for what the Crystals do, and the Crystals come in—

Me: We’ll talk about Crystals later in a separate session.

Kim: Sure.

Me: We’ll probably have to spend a lot of time on them, too. One more thing before we close. I want to tell you that, it’s really weird—my Indigo and I have often had the same dreams at times. For example, we dreamed one time that we were on the bow of a boat and there were these little—this is so specific and random!—these little red eared slider turtles crawling all around, and some of them were about to slip off the edge of the boat and fall into the ocean. We were scrambling to save them. We both had the same freaking dream! So is that very common? It’s not like, “Yeah, okay, I dreamed about going to school naked.” It’s not like that. I mean, red eared sliders on the bow of a boat? Really?

Erik: It’s very common for Indigos because they connect telepathically. It all goes back to their level of claircognizance and the way that they telepathically connect to the ones they love. Think about the way Kim channels me. She just connects in a telepathic way where she just hears what I’m saying without having to wait until my lips say it.

Me: Okay.

Erik: The same thing with you and your Indigo. She connected to you and channeled what you were experiencing.

Me: Wow!

Erik: She dreamed it because of her telepathic connection to you.

Me: Okay.

Kim: He’s just going into the way that Indigos and Crystals are related.

We’ll talk about that next time.

Me: Okay, well thanks, Erik! Thank you, Kim!

Kim: You’re welcome!

Me: This was awesome.

Erik: I love you, Mom.

Me (with sadness): I love you so much. I’ve been missing you over Thanksgiving, and now I have Christmas without you. It’s still hard, but it gets better every year. Come visit.

Erik: I’m still here.

Kim: He’s bumping an ornament on the tree so watch for that.

Me: Okay! I will do that! All right. Love you, Kim. Love you, Erik! Bye everybody!
