The Georgia Guidestones

This is a fascinating structure that I only heard of in the last couple of years. What a mystery! Be sure the click on the link at the bottom to read the messages on the guidestones.

Me: Erik, can you tell me about the Georgia Guidestones? That’s that big monolithic structure in in the state of Georgia that has rules for what seems like the aftermath of some disaster like a flood. It’s in the city of Elberton.

Erik: They were commissioned by a man.

Me: Hm. Okay.

Erik: So, they didn’t just sneak into place, and it wasn’t some alien creation. He’s an older man who lives nearby, and he’s trying to use the languages of the world that he thought would be in use at the time that this devastation will come upon the Earth.

Me (laughing): Well, I’m going to live right next to that structure, then!

Erik and Jamie chuckle.

Erik: And it does tell about the change of the centuries, but it can’t be taken as all truth, because it’s filtered through that one guy’s head. The way it’s positioned it’s related to northeast/southwest so it’s like a directional thing. It has holes in it that are kind of like the ones in the Egyptian temples and Stonehenge. They have a certain alignment.

Me: Exactly.

Erik: The guy wants the world to be enlightened about a greater cause, and this is the way he thought he could do it.

Me: Hm.

Erik: But it’s definitely not 100% accurate.

Me: Well, it seems like he had good intentions behind these rules.

Erik: Absolutely, and they were channeled to him, but everyone has their own filters.

Me: But I don’t get the rule about keeping the population below a certain number. Does he mean we have to exterminate people when we get above a certain population.

Erik: No, the dude really means past a certain number, the Earth’s resources will be taken advantage of. It’s like raping the land you live on and not being able to replenish it.

Me: Well, how does he suggest we keep it below a certain number?

Erik: He’s saying we should follow China where you can only have one child.

Me: Okay. So it’s birth control, not extermination of people who have more than one kid?

Erik: No!

Me: Good, because that would be awful!

Erik: Yes, but at the same time, we have galaxies out there that build systems to sustain life., so it doesn’t just have to be centered on Earth.

Me: I thought scarcity was just an illusion. Can’t we create anything, including new dimensions?

Erik: That’s my mom!

Me: Aw!

Jamie (giggling): Erik’s so proud of you!

Me: Tapping into that sea of creation energy; that’s the tricky part!

Erik: So these guide stones are worth seeing. You gotta look at it like a good book, a really good read.

Dear Reader,

The journey on which you’re about to embark will take you through stories that are deeply personal and involves a relationship between a mother and her son.

As a physician raised by two atheists, I had no personal belief system about life after death. In a word, I was a confirmed skeptic. As my journey progressed, my mind opened. It is my sincerest hope that yours will open as well and that you will have a greater understanding of your own life and what’s to come ahead.

Although Erik sometimes paints a rosy picture of the afterlife, time and time again he stresses that suicide is not the answer to one’s problems. If you struggle, please understand that the information in my blog and my book is no substitute for professional help. Please click here for a list of resources for help when you find yourself considering taking your own life. Know that they are readily available when you feel that hopelessness and despair that many of us feel from time to time in our lives.

I refuse all donations and ad revenue on the blog. It is my dream to one day establish a nonprofit organization that delivers a variety of spiritual services for those who have lost loved ones to suicide and cannot afford that assistance on their own. It’s a mission of love, sacrifice, and dedication.
