I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was hot, devoid of fish during our fishing trip, but enjoyable nonetheless. I love fishing, but part of me doesn’t. Every time I put the live shrimp on my hook, I find myself choking up and apologizing out loud to the little wriggler. That can’t be normal. But I also express heartfelt gratitude for its attempts to provide me with dinner. So the jury is out on whether I can continue the emotional rollercoaster that is my fishing life.
