Channeling Brittany Murphy, Part Two

I found out that medium, Mimi Bonhomme, channels celebrities. You guys need to check her out! Here’s a message from her:

I founded Psychic Punx for intuitive people who embrace their sixth sense but who do not resonate or fit in with the current wave of new age spirituality. I’m hoping that in time, Psychic Punx will provide support to a more alternative crowd who is sensitive and intuitive, but who is more on the margins of the spiritual movement. We are part of a growing movement that includes Dharma Punx, black yoga, and more. For now, Psychic Punx focuses on afterlife interviews with well-known or infamous spirits, most of whom had a bit more of a rebellious streak in them than, say, an angelic one. The intent behind these interviews is to gain a greater understanding of a spirit’s purpose by looking back on their life, their actions, challenges, lessons learned, etc. All our afterlife interviews are done by myself and resident mediums William Adley and Alison Allan. We approach each spirit with respect and love, regardless of who they were or what they did, and never share delicate or sensitive information. We always ask the same detached, opened questions in all our interviews and these questions were directly inspired by you and your interview style! And so I wanted to take a moment to thank you Elisa, for your courage, curiosity, and strength – and of course, for the inspiration behind the Psychic Punx interviews!

Now for Part Two of Brittany’s interview.

What insights did you have when you crossed over? Any a ha moments?

Jamie (Bursting out laughing): Her first response was, “Fuck! This happened?”

Me (laughing): Oh no!

Brittany: I really didn’t think I was that sick! People need to know that. I wasn’t in any pain. I was taking the medication I was told to take. I was misdiagnosed. You know, people get shortness of breath when they get colds.

Me: Yeah.

Brittany: I just hadn’t been in that position, and it cropped up in a few days. I thought, “This will clear up.” Well, yep, life cleared up all right!

Jamie (chuckling): She’s being kind of funny about it!

Me: So you weren’t feeling that bad, then “boom,” that was it, huh?

Brittany: Yeah. Just like a little tired, and I was getting up and moving around. I wasn’t bedridden. It was just insane to think I was that sick, and then I realized that “This is how I checked out” I thought, “Holy shit. This has to be the end!” I don’t think I could say, “I shoulda, woulda, coulda.”

Me: Mm.

Brittany: I did take care of myself.

Me: Yeah. So any other insights? That’s a hugie, too. (I have no idea how to spell that.” Any other insights about Heaven, Earth—anything?

Brittany: Oh my god, it’s incredible here.

Me: Ah, good.

Brittany: The one phenomenal thing that I didn’t line up before –

Jamie: She’s saying that she was raised—

(Pause as Jamie listens to her)

Jamie (to Brittany): No, but I didn’t grow up here. How do you know that information? That’s kind of creepy! She looked at me and said, “I was raised by you. I was raised Baptist,” and I said, ‘You were?’

Brittany: Yeah, right here in Atlanta.

Jamie: But I didn’t grow up in Atlanta but I’ve been surrounded by that Bible belt religion. Thad’s weird that she gets to find out about that kind of stuff.

Me: Did Erik give her a cheat sheet or something?

Erik: Isn’t that what I’m supposed to do, prompt the people, especially if you’re interviewing them?

Jamie: I’m not interviewing them. Just listening.

Brittany: Being raised Baptist and then getting out from under that and then studying the broader aspects of Catholicism, it was never discussed that when you die you get the freedom to help the ones left behind. It was phenomenal to find out that I didn’t cease to exist. I got to live on and still be involved in the life that I left. That was an opportunity that I didn’t expect. You know, I wanted to believe it was true, but I had this thing, “Well I won’t believe it’s true and if it is, then I can be doubly excited. I was doubly excited about what we resented to me.

Me: You seem to be a very excitable person. You got excited about things. You were excited about life.

(Pause)

Jamie: Um, she’s talking about her boyfriend. She says that he’s there. Her boyfriend passed away?

Me: I’m not sure. Brittany don’t really know much about your personal life.

Brittany: That’s okay. It’s nice to meet someone who doesn’t.

I laugh.

(Pause)

Jamie: That’s sad.

(Long pause)

Jamie: She said he died from being lovesick.

Me: Aw.

Brittany: I’m with him.

Me: Good.

Brittany: Because I have his support, we’ve really been able to heal out wounds about leaving life early.
