Now, for today’s post:
Me: You say your energy is growing. Why is that?
Erik: Because more people are thinking about me and acknowledging me. With that I’m gifted energy, so now I have more of it to use to give to others, to create healing and knowing, a-ha moments for people. It’s like I’ve become a recycling center!
Me: Recycled trash! I don’t think so!
Jamie (laughing): I know! I was like, ‘like a dump!’ And then he just lost it.
Me: He’s a landfill! So, is your energy a lot more powerful than you’re average spirit like Uncle Joe? I’m not doing the comparison thing like inferior/superior. I’m just talking about physics.
(Long pause)
Jamie hums impatiently.
Jamie: I have no idea what he’s talking about. It is a day of Erik ADD.
Me: Oh gosh, Erik. Take your Ritalin!
Jamie: He’s doing that layering thing like he’s done a few times with me. When he gives just a little bit of information but it has 4 layers to it and each is a little bit different, but they’re all tied together.
Me: m hm.
Jamie: It throws me for a loop. It confuses me. Maybe it’s not that he’s being ADD. Maybe he’s on point but giving me too much information, and it’s just drowning me.
Me: I can’t imagine where I would be then. Can you dumb it down for us, Erik?
Jamie (to Erik): Ask it in a more direct way. Maybe we can break it down in two or three parts.
Me: Okay. How is your energy compared to, say, my mother’s energy or any other person who doesn’t do what you do as your life’s work?
(Long pause)
Jamie: Mmm. It’s still just as complicated so here we go.
Erik: It’s the same kind of energy. It’s just used differently, so it’s hard to compare. You know, Mom, we really don’t compare here. We don’t measure, but I know that’s how humans learn. If you can imagine that grandma is a normal balloon, and I’m like a Mylar balloon.
Me: mm hm.
Erik: I can go higher without popping, you know. I have a little more durability, but I’m the same thing, plastic and rubber with helium in it made of the same thing. I’m not made of anything different than grandma.
Me: So you’re full of hot air! I suspected as much!
Erik: That’s one step above being full of shit!
Me: Ah, you’ve gone up in the world.
Jamie giggles at our playful teasing.
Me: All right. So, go ahead.
(Pause)
Jamie: He’s talking about purposes—not calling them talents, not calling them abilities or anything like that, but just calling it a purpose, a calling.
Erik: Grandma doesn’t have this calling. You know that’s someone’s free will at play, like when you grew up, you wanted to be a doctor. You followed that path to fulfill yourself. I’ve always wanted to help people. I did it when I was alive. I liked to know what people thought and what they were going through. It just made me feel like I could connect to them better. Being where I am now, it’s the kind of connection that I wanted when I was alive in a body but couldn’t obtain. Now, I’m alive in this energetic body, and I can get that connection I’m looking for. It’s very intriguing for me. It’s work that I’m attracted to. It’s work that I love, and so I’ve dedicated to it. I put my focus on it. Even when you’re on Earth, this happens to you. You become aware of something you like or learn and just discovered. Then, all of a sudden, it’s everywhere, and when you know more and more and more, you build this foundation, and it just becomes easier. Here, we don’t really learn things. We just kind of connect to them. We have this—
(Pause)
Jamie (in a sing-song voice): He’s searching for a word.
Erik: —energetic connection, so, you know, I’m not sitting around learning, per se. It’s just this openness where puzzle pieces are constantly falling into place. If I’m enjoying it, I’m feeling it more, and it’s happening more. The momentum in the spirit world is so much easier than the momentum on Earth, you know, because your time is so linear, you could be working on a project for a year! Maybe you want to launch a company, and it’s two years later, and you finally do it. Here, it’s like you think of a company, and you start to create it. We don’t have these obstacles in our way. It’s just not the way that this place is built. So—
Jamie starts to laugh.
Jamie (to Erik): That’s okay.
Me: Is that it?
Jamie: Yeah, I think so. I think he just lost track and he said, “I don’t know. You ask her if she needs anything else.”
Me: Okay. What about all the love and respect you get from the Channeling Erik peeps? Does that increase your energy, too? I mean, does love—
Erik: Oh yeah! That’s what all the attention and thoughts are.
Me: So, it makes your energy more what? More expanded? More powerful? I have to use some sort of word to compare your energy now to what it was early on in your life as a spirit.
Erik: No, it’s not about big, bigger, expansion.
(Long pause)
Jamie: All right. Let’s see if this makes sense. This is the visual he’s giving me.
Me: Okay.
Jamie (chuckling): You’re going to think this is ridiculous, Okay? I have a telephone booth in my head. Let’s pretend that the telephone booth is Erik. It’s that kind where you open the door and get in and close the door behind you.
Me: Okay.
Erik: Say you were able to fit two grown men in there, and that’s it. After a while of spending time in there, these grown men lose weight, firm up, whatever. There’s more space, so we can fit someone else in there. We still have two grown men, their knowledge, their power. All of that hasn’t changed, but their shape has. It’s allowing more to come in, and as time progresses, all of a sudden you can fit 25 people in there. The shape of the telephone booth hasn’t changed. The quality of knowledge, intellect and emotions hasn’t changed, but the shape of it has, so it allows for more.
Jamie (to Erik): So, it’s like increasing your vibration. You could have just said that!
Me: Oh! But I love his analogies. They’re so cool.
Jamie laughs.
Me: All right. So the love basically increases your vibration?
Erik: Yes.
