Nasty Things that go BOO!, Part One

So far, I’ve gotten lots of great feedback about Erik’s new book! Lots of tears, laughter and jaw drops. I hope you do Erik and me the honor of writing up something for the testimonials page for the book! If so, please email it to me: emedhus@gmail.com. If you could copy and paste it as a customer review for Amazon and Barnes and Nobel, that would be great, too. I really appreciate you, my favorite peeps, helping me in Erik and my mission to spread comfort and insight throughout the world.

I have some exciting news: We have two winners for the latest giveaway: Sheila Uphouse and Teresa Diaz. Congratulations to the both of you!

Today at 1:30 CT, I’m going to be interviewed live on Miriam Knight’s Rising Stars, part of OM-Times Magazine’s New Consciousness Review. It’s only 30 minutes long, but it should be fun. Here’s the link if you’d like to join: Click HERE.

I’m also going to be interviewed live tomorrow at noon CT on the We Carry the Light show with host, Dr. Susan Allison. Click HERE to access that!

One of you noticed that the archives page wasn’t working. I think we have it fixed, though, thanks to my dear friend, Michael Hulse.

For those of you who missed the live Google Hangouts yesterday with Beyond Words, here’s the YouTube.

I have an Erik story of my own to share. I’ve been trying to teach my 7 year-old granddaughter basic skills like cooking, gardening, etc., and the latest project is building a pull back race car. I got her her own little pair of goggles, a little hammer, some nails, and everything needed to build the car. I had her spray paint the wooden pieces–quite a messy, drippy event–and asked her to go inside to get her hammer so she could practice hammering nails into a piece of wood (and to smash up rocks and look for diamonds and other precious gems that might lurk inside.) A couple of minutes later, I heard her inside at the door to the patio asking for me to unlock the door. I had to get her to call Lukas from upstairs so he could unlock it. Thank god he was there. She definitely didn’t accidentally lock it, because it’s a very tricky lock. Her small hands would have had a hard time turning the key. When I asked her what she thought happened, she thought and thought for a while, then exclaimed, with a smile on her face and a roll of her eyes, “Erik!” She fussed at him jokingly for a few seconds, then went out to hammer away. He’s locked us in the house before. In fact, we witnessed the slow turn of the deadbolt as he did. Little rascal.

Now for today’s post:

Me: Hi, Jamie.

Jamie: Hi, Elisa.

Me: Hi, Erik.

Erik: Hi.

Me: You know what we’re going to talk about, don’t you? What are we going to talk about, Erik?

Erik: Possessions and hauntings.

Me: Yes, nasty stuff like that. Shadows. Dark energies that follow people and prevent them from succeeding—that’s what I’m talking about.

Jamie: Erik’s teasing you.

Erik: Yes, Mom. There are shadows. When the sun comes out, it casts a shadow—

Me: Ha ha.

Jamie: I know.

Me: I wouldn’t talk. You use to try to catch your shadow and jump on it when you were little.

Erik: When I was a little baby kitten.

Me: Aw. You’re still my baby kitten.

Jamie: That’s a big baby kitten.

Me: Yeah.

Erik: I’d love to talk about the shadows and yes, they are real. They are entities, spirits who—

(Pause)

Jamie: Okay, he’s backtracking.

Erik: Let’s say you’re a very warped individual. (Laughing) I put myself in that category.

Me (chuckling): Okay.

Erik: But no, really warped.

Me: What do you mean by “warped?”

Erik: Let’s say you’re a murderer—

Me: Oh, that’s pretty warped.

Erik: –and you like to de-skin people.

Me: Oh yeah. That’s warped.

Erik: It’s good, right? You got an image.

Me: Ugh, some image.

Jamie laughs.

Erik: And this person dies suddenly whether they took their own life or got hit by a car or just whatever. They die suddenly. They don’t have a belief in an afterlife so an afterlife isn’t going to arrive for them because their belief system shapes the way they’re going to cross over between dimensions. They stay put. They stay in their place because that’s what they have control over—their location when they were alive. Or they’re at war and they stay there because they’re familiar with it. Therefore they don’t transition. So now we have a soul inside of a person that turns into a spirit that didn’t cross over. So we call them a ghost, right?

Me: Is that what the difference between a ghost and a spirit is?

Erik: Yeah, yeah. A ghost is a spirit that doesn’t cross over into another dimensional plane. They stay in the human dimensional plane.

Me: Got ya.

Erik: Got it? Great. So you have the ghost, and the ghost has decided that they want to continue to be the fucked up selves they were when they were alive. Maybe they’re always on the hunt, or maybe they’re always trying to kill themselves. Maybe that’s what they really liked when they were alive. Maybe they’re always trying to capture other people because that was their obsession. Whatever. They liked little boys or old men, whatever it is. That’s what they’ll continue to do.

Me: Mm hm.

Erik: And because they have such a dense, lower vibrational pattern, they kind of line up with humans because our human energy—our bodies, skin—is required to be dense to stay in the physical plane.

Me: So they have a low vibrational frequency.

Erik: Yeah, yeah. That’s kind of special to humans, but now we have this ghost who has it as well, so they’re able to cross our, let’s say, timely path, and create chaos. Or let’s say the guy who was obsessed with knives, killed a bunch of animals, killed whatever he came across, killed himself, and then this new family moved into the house. He sees the man of the house being kind of like an equal to him, and he likes the way he does things. So he starts to merge into this person’s energy slowly, first allowing the dude to feel good, confident and in control, kind of matching energetic vibrations. He can attach and move in with ease, so there won’t be this “something’s on me” feeling or “something’s not right.” You would just feel really good. Then, once his trust is earned, the spirit becomes what he really wants to become, which is someone who holds knives.

Me: Oh!

Erik: Hoarding things that can harm people, being angry, shouting, taking control.

Me: Oh, that’s awful!

Erik: Then the human person’s like, “You know, I feel like I’m losing my fucking mind. I’m not myself anymore.” And he gets blood work done and all this shit done and it’s like, “But you’re fine, mister. Nothing’s wrong with you. Maybe you got mental.” Then he gets on pills and get addicted to alcohol because all this happened. He can’t manage himself because he’s got this hitchhiker dude that’s all fucked up and is using this person’s energy.

Me: So most possessions happen around the time of menopause.

Jamie pauses to think about my statement, finally gets it and laughs.

Stay tuned for Part Two tomorrow! Love you all! I’ll leave you with this funny cartoon.
