Always and Forever

Yet another wonderful Erik Encounter:

Cheesy title I know, but I’m a cheesy gal. One technique I use to detach myself from someone I’ve finished a reading with is by listening to music. Erik has me listen to 2 or 3 songs, and he usually picks them out. Today was no different, and he was controlling my itunes on my computer. He started to play “Black Hole Sun” by Soundgarden. This song always reminds me of when I was staying in Germany with my ex boyfriend’s family (we were dating at the time). I remember my ex boyfriend and I were falling apart. Our relationship was failing, and I knew it was going to end. I could feel it coming from just around the corner, and I felt so alone. I was in a foreign country staying with my boyfriend’s family, and I wasn’t sure how long we had left. I was home alone flipping through the channels, and I found myself wishing for something in English to come on. Suddenly, the music video for the song “Black Hole Sun” came on, and I felt so connected to it. My prayer was answered, and the video made me laugh and cry. It was a small gift from the universe, and I thanked whoever it was that sent it to me. I told Erik this story about the song, and he said, “I know. That was me.” I was shocked because I hadn’t found the blog during that time, and it’d be another 4 years until I did find it. Erik said, “Remember? I’m here for you always. Always and forever.” He also gave me a weed smell 4 months before I would find the blog.
