We had a little incident last night that was very upsetting. Michelle found a female Jack Russell terrier on a busy street, and she was almost run over. She had no tags, so Michelle took her home. We had her scanned at a 24 hour emergency vet center, and she did have a chip, but the vet failed to register it so we don’t have the owner’s information. We just have the name of the vet. We decided to keep her in the backyard and set her up with a bed, food and water. She seemed so sweet, but suddenly, she attacked our cat Ringo with such viciousness that it was clear she intended to kill him. Once Michelle saved Ringo, the dog left the yard and is no where to be found. We called the vet this morning, and they’re trying to do the appropriate detective work. Meanwhile, Ringo is in surgery for multiple serious wounds. Hopefully, he’ll do fine and will return tomorrow. We have no idea if the dog was up to date on immunizations, so Ringo will have to have a rabies shot. Here’s a picture of the dog waiting to get scanned.
Another thing I want to discuss is the Channeling Erik Blog Members Facebook Page. Many people have been banned for discussing “negative” topics like the situation in North Korea. My personal opinion is that, as Erik has said many times, there is no “negative” or “positive.” There is no “right” or “wrong.” Instead, everything is an experience meant to push of forward and, negative or positive, there are many valuable lessons and teachable moments to be had. Many think that the page should be purely dedicated to positive, metaphysical and spiritual topics, but I think that no topic should be taboo because discussion can generate so much wisdom and reflection. Of course, I think that anyone who engages in judgmental statements, personal insults or attacks should be banned, but not those who discuss their opinions and the opinions of others in a respectful manner. But since I’m only one person, I want your opinion, too. Do you want a sanitized version of the page or one open to all topics? Please take the poll!
Now enjoy today’s Rolling with Erik and don’t forget that tonight is the first Monday Hour of Enlightenment! It’s at 5:00 PM PT/7:00 PM CT/8:00 PM ET. No more than 15 minutes before the top of the hour, call 619-639-4606 to ask Erik your question. There are three ways to listen: Listen on the phone line, click on the “Listen” icon on the right sidebar of the blog or click on this link: http://goo.gl/aFHTzJ
