Wondering about the title? Watch some of the reruns from the series, “The Jeffersons.” Pretty funny, but I’m not sure if it’s a little racists. Not “All in the Family” racist but..
So damn, we had a hard time getting that boy to spit it out! You’ll see. By the way, I just did a session for two YouTubes and they were AWESOME. It’s a surprise though so you’ll have to be patient!
Me: Here’s one from a reader. “Does Erik have any words for people like me who feel driven to experience a higher level of spiritual awareness but can’t seem to break through to the next level?”
Erik (Swinging imaginary doors and singing): Break on through to the other side.
Me (laughing): Jim Morrison.
Erik: Okay, the question is advice to those who want to break through but can’t seem to do it?
Me: Mm hmm.
(Pause)
Jamie (to Erik, giggling): Erik, you have to say more than that!
Me: Yes, please!
Jamie: He brushes off his shirt in the front and then pulls at it like to stretch the t-shirt out and he goes, “Well, um, tell them to get over their fucking self.”
Me: The reader’s not going to like that.
Jamie: He’s just teasing.
Erik: Well, if you’re not achieving it, there’s something you’ve created that you’ve put in place that’s blocking you. It’s not so much about finding that right technique, that right book—
(Pause)
Jamie: I’m arguing with him. I say, “I think, in a way, it is because that’s what can help them unlock themselves and get over themselves as you put it.”
Me: Yeah, like reading the book that all three of us are making. Hopefully, that will help people think and go beyond their inner boundaries and reflect and be emotionally honest with themselves to find out what that block is. Right?
Jamie (to Erik): I agree with your mom.
Me: Ha, ha! Jamie’s on my side!
Jamie (laughing): Two against one!
Poor Erik.
Erik: No, it might not be the exact technique that the person needs to open themselves or get beyond the block, but I would say it’s more about having that emotional openness, that emotional experience rather than a technique. What is the internal dialogue you have with yourself that’s stopping you from following through and taking away your blockages?
Jamie (to Erik): Yeah, but Erik, that’s done with a technique!
Me: How do you, uh, you have to know what to talk about to yourself. You can talk all day and get nowhere if you don’t have some sort of guidance. You have to know what questions to ask. That’s the problem.
We’re not letting up.
(Long pause)
Jamie: Oh, we’re arguing. Should I argue out loud so you can listen?
Me: Yeah, go ahead.
Jamie: He’s telling me, “No, because if you sit with yourself, then you’ll find your own answers,” so I go, ‘Oh, you mean like meditation?’ and he says, “Yeah, similar,” and I go, ‘Well, guess what? Meditation is a technique.’
Me: There we go! So would meditation help?
(Pause)
Me: Past life regression?
Jamie (laughing): That’s what I was telling him, too!
Me: Regressing to in-between lives?
Jamie: Yeah, so the person can see the life lesson and what they put in front of them. (To Erik) We’re not putting you down, Erik. It just doesn’t—
Me (chuckling): Yeah, we still love you!
Erik (in a gansta voice): I know.
Jamie laughs.
(Pause)
Jamie: He’s still putting a lot of attention and value on that empty space inside the person, and I told him these are the people that can’t reach that space. So can you give the top three ways to reach that empty space and connect to the other side, the greater beyond?
(Long pause)
Jamie: Okay. He’s surrendering!
Me: Ah!
Jamie: We broke him down!
Me: Aww. That’s a first.
Jamie: Is this our first win in like four years?
Me: Mm hmm.
Erik: Top three. Regression is number one.
Me: Regression to between lives where you do all your planning or regression to another life?
Erik: I would say hypnosis in general.
Me: Okay.
Erik: Being hypnotized and letting go of the physical body will help you get into a deeper meditation, which is my number two.
Me: Oh, okay.
(Pause)
Me: Any threes?
Jamie laughs hard.
Jamie (to Erik): Can we publish that?
Me: Yes, we publish everything.
Erik: The use of –
Jamie (to Erik): Yes. Let’s put it that way. Mind-altering substances.
Erik: In a safe and guided environment.
Me: Like you’ve talked about. But my best drug is talking to you, Erik. It’s learning from you.
Erik (in a southern drawl): Yay ya, baby!
Me: Jamie, you’ve always been so good at channeling, but it seems like you just keep getting better and better. Why is that? Is it practicing with Erik or just, over time, practicing your gift?
Jamie: I’d say all of the above. It’s all the practice, but it’s also being extremely comfortable with Erik. I know him now. I see him.
Me: Mm hmm. It’s just phenomenal!
