Poetry for Bereaved, Part Three

Enjoy Danielle’s third poignant piece:

Will I ever forgive you?

Sometimes I do.

So I heard it snowed in Phoenix

and I am wishing ours would rise

but it’s somewhere in the ashes

no where near the snowy sky.

If snow can come to Phoenix

then we can hold on fast

to quixotic transformations

that heal the wounds of love.

They say the cure is in the wound

yes, the snow is on the ground

Yes the cure is in the wound

& the snow is on the ground

And the snow is in the wound

Phoenix underground

and the cure is in the wound

and the cure is underground.
