Me: On the earthly plane, there are humans that have varying degrees of intelligence. Some like Stephen Hawkins and Einstein are geniuses. When we pass, does our IQ level go with us or are we all the same on the other side and is intelligence only a factor of particular brain chemistry?

Erik: No, the brain is definitely the instrument that keeps the intelligence within the physical body, but it’s not the end all storage system. Everybody has their own personal iCloud.

Jamie and I giggle. He’s still pretty high tech.

Erik: Sky Cloud. Whatever the fuck they’re called these days.

Never mind.

Erik: So when you leave your physical body, all your intelligence your character, your personality—everything goes with you. In fact, it gets polished a little bit better when you’re here because you can understand more of who you were and why you were.

Me: So are there beings or spirits with higher IQs and lower IQs? Do y’all have any slow ones over there, you know, mentally challenged?

Erik: Well the handicapped people, those are physical handicaps.

Me: Yeah, I know.

Erik: It’s cuz the body is mis-wired. The soul’s not handicapped. So no, we don’t have any handicapped souls or broken souls or “challenged” souls. It just doesn’t exist that way because we don’t have to manage it within an instrument like the brain.

Me (chuckling): No vertically challenged either.

Erik: Nope. No vertically challenged, no constipation, no diarrhea.

Me: All right!

I was wondering how long it’d take before the scatological humor reared its ugly head.

Me: Well, are different spirits more intelligent?

Erik: Yeah. Different spirits have access to more information. It’s not really an intelligence level—

Erik and I talk over each other. I tried to ask how one spirit can access more information than another.

Me: Oh, sorry. I keep interrupting!

Erik (playfully): Damn, woman! My mom likes to hear her voice.

I chuckle.

Erik: The access of information?

Me: Mm hm.

Erik: It’s individually controlled by each spirit. So let’s say—on Earth we have these different personalities, those people who just want to live on the beach.

Me: Mm hm.

Erik: Right, like they don’t wanna do anything else but live on the beach, and there are people who just wanna live in the mountains and not do anything else. They live a simple life, have a simple job and make just enough money to live on and that’s all they care for.

Me: Okay.

Erik: We have spirits like that, too. They just lie low. They just wanna do their thing.

Me: So they don’t want to work hard to tap into the information that’s available to them.

Erik: That’s right. But they could. They could learn how to just tweak their perception or kind of open their heart a little bit broader and boom they have access to it all. But we have spirits who are constantly broadening their perception and—

Jamie (to Erik): Oh wow. How do you say that? (To me): Um, this comes with a picture.  Let’s say we’re just going to pretend that Heaven is in the sky just for this image right now.

Me: Okay.

Jamie: And the spirit is in the sky.

Erik: That spirit has the capability to absorb thought information, communication information, prayer information all from the humans on Earth as well. So it’s not just the collective whole consciousness or God knowledge and energy. It’s also the Now that’s being experienced on Earth. That can be absorbed as well.

Me: Ah!

Erik: We put this image of the spirit in Heaven so that we can help you understand the Now, and the Now is something that you’re looking at from your eyes. But, because time is stacked and not linear, all the past lives you’re having or the future lives that you’re having, there are Now moments in those as well. The Now is coming from your current life, future lives and past lives and all of this talk and information creates the energy. It shifts and changes the energy. And you can allow yourself in spirit form to receive information from all of those Now’s.

Me: Wow.

Erik: Think of it as current history.

Jamie (giggling): Current history!

Me: Well, I guess everything is in the Now anyway, so that would mean that you in your current life and all selves and all that would be privy to that at the same time. Right? Tapping into that?

Erik: Yes. Yes.
