The Loss of Direction

I have some exciting news, guys. Heather Quinto created a Channeling Erik Mediums Facebook page for those of you who need readings or would like to communicate with a loved one for a reasonable price. There are many to choose from. Feel free to ask people who have used a particular medium what their experience was like. Ii haven’t vetted any of them, but this is, in part, the purpose of the page.

Here’s yet another post I left in draft mode!

******************

Well, it’s official. You can alert the press. I’ve been a bad girl! I’ve been terrible about answering comments that are directed towards me. The same thing with the Channeling Erik Facebook Group and my Facebook pages. I’m hoping some of you can keep an eye out for comments where someone asks a question to which you can offer your own personal insight. This will soon resolve itself when the bulk of the book is finished. I miss the interaction. Until then, I usually have been getting about 4 hours of sleep. Zombie Woman!! (I look like shit now, as you can imagine. I get some wide-eyed stares when I venture out of my cave to do errands.)

Me: I know a lot of people who are stuck in life. They don’t have any idea what direction they should go in.

Erik: That’s also an attachment thing. People get attached to that question, “Am I making the right choice? Ooo. I don’t want to make a mistake because if I mess up I might screw up my life so much that I can never recover.” When you’re trying to find your direction, sometimes you need to stop focusing on the repercussions and just start doing things. Step forward. Sure, every action creates a reaction, but there’s no judgment in that. You won’t fuck up your karma, and by the way, there is no such thing as karma. That would imply some external judgment, and that just doesn’t really exist. So, you just have to make a choice, and stop being so attached to that fear.

Me: Yeah. It’s like jumping off a high dive. Sometimes you have to just hold your nose and take that leap of faith.

Erik: Right. And a lot of times, people will notice that something keeps coming up either around them or maybe they find themselves thinking about it a lot. That might be a nudge that tells you, “Check that out.” Even that process of investigation is an act of moving forward.

Me: Well, what if you don’t have any choices? What if it’s just a big fat blank slate, and you have absolutely no idea what to do?

Erik: Yeah, there are a lot of people like that, and it’s like being in a void or like you’re stuck in an elevator between floors. Those people need to start simple. You lost your job, and there are no choices for jobs. Get out of the house, walk down the street, start talking to people like in a restaurant or whatever, and be friendly. You’d be amazed by how many opportunities you create for yourself just by doing that.

Me: Yeah, I’ve heard all sorts of stories like someone is sitting in a bar, talking to a stranger, and that stranger hands him his card and says, “Hey, I have a job for you.”

Erik: Exactly. And if you don’t want to do that, think of it as an opportunity to start getting into yourself and think about what you really want in life and what your talents are. Then think about the sorts of jobs that will allow you to use those talents.

Me: Mm hm,

Erik: Baby steps. Just realizing your talents and following them in your search for a job can lift your spirits and move you forward. It’s all about perspective. When you lose your sense of direction, try to have a positive perspective instead of one that focuses on the negative like what’s not there, what you don’t have, what you can’t do. Think about what there is, what you do have, what you can do. Empower yourself, and that empowerment will push you forward. Maybe you move forward and then you realize that you have to turn left of right, but at least you have the momentum you need.

Me: What lessons can come from a loss of direction?

Erik: So many different kinds. The biggest one is to learn to step into your own power and to recognize that you are the person in the driver’s seat. It’s up to you. You decide whether you want to stop, go forward or go back.

Yet another gift from Helene Remøy! Thanks Helene!
