The Torch Burns

(Many thanks to John Adams for the title)

The big torch burns A website lights the sky As the world turns We’ve discovered we can fly

We’ll row the boat to shore Keep the flame alive Burn three more bridges Swat a few more flies

Take the time you need We don’t care what Timex says What we think of you Would choke Canal Suez

The message is forever Upset is only now We all love you dear Elisa You have no idea how!

The substitute teacher overtime question met encouragement, the first replacement post follows. We could even have some pleasant & unexpected assignments, class.

ST = substitute teacher and Erik

ST:       Erik, I want to say we are all thinking of your mother, hoping for her swift, happy return to the keyboard.

Erik:     You should see how bad that computer of hers feels.

ST:       Hack into it, man! Take it for a spin.

Erik:     We don’t need computers….we ARE computers!

ST:       This subject’s been covered before, I think….

Erik:     Yup, it has.

ST:       …but expand on that. What is a computer on Earth like compared to thought and information where you hang out?

Erik:     I hang out where you hang out…it’s all the same place, just different layers mixed together, some unaware of the others because of the vibrations.

ST:       So how do Earth computers work like Heaven?

Erik:     Computers are all 1s and 0s…binary language. Everything builds from there. Electricity holds the “charge” that represents the up & down….the left & right…..the positive and negative…..the ying & yang…..

ST:       So as we on Earth got better with electricity…

Erik:     The methods of holding charges to represent binary language were introduced.

ST:       Who introduced ‘em?

Erik:     The scientists and engineers and their Angels.

ST:       Is Herman The Committee Man nearby?

Erik:     He’s eating this stuff up like a sandwich…

ST:      In Heaven or, in the higher dimensions where you “hang” there’s no physical computer device?

Erik:     Nope, not needed.

ST:       So the higher vibration means the “computer information” comes faster for you?

Erik:     Nope, seems the same. It’s what Einstein talked about; the theory of relativity.

ST:       So if we all sit around the celestial campfire, the conversation will seem the same.

Erik:     Yup.

ST:       So when us Earthlings are observed, we look like we’re going really slow.

Erik:     No, you look like you should be taking us to your leader!  No…just kidding…..that’s an alien. We float around like smoke, high speed. “Earthlings” don’t appear slow; we slow down automatically our data transmission rate….our compiler operates at a congruent speed. Herman fed me that line, like he feeds you. Cool dude!

ST:       So when you’re asked to go fetch so and so…you send a message first or go and send the message simultaneously?

Erik:     Going “there” and sending a message are the same thing. Here we are all energy. There’s no difference.

ST:       When you might appear before a human that sees your image, you’re slowing down to do that?

Erik:     Kinda like that….the image is slowed down a little but it’s also the person seeing us, who kept that ability in the body. Most of us go visit Earth and shut that off.

ST:       So what do “we” see in Heaven, in the afterlife?

Erik:     Mostly what you want to see, that means you go where you wanna go. All that stuff about space inside an atom? So imagine if you can use all of it? The atoms and molecules are solid for some vibrations, not others, so here we use all that.

ST:       So what’s that “what you want to see” stuff?

Erik:     Others could make up a place they like and if you go to see them, you’ll run into what they have and you can be a part of it, or make up your own.

ST:       So if there’s a big meadow they have….

Erik:     You’re in it.

ST:       What about up and down?

Erik:     We spread out horizontally the way that word’s used, but there’s no such thing. Come to a cool meadow and climb up to the top of a tree and then decide you want to go someplace else and you can turn to your right and it’s flat, perpendicular to the tree trunk you just climbed.

ST:       No gravity?

Erik:     Nope. None. Zilcho.

ST:       “Zilcho?”

Erik:     It’s a technical term.

ST:       So how do we hear people speak or see things?

Erik:     You understand thoughts; this happens to everybody now. Like when you say ‘I just thought of something’, that’s communication the natural way.

ST:       Human speech is unnatural then?

Erik:     Unless you’re in a human body, yup it is.

ST:       How do people speak to each other?

Erik:     Look at ‘em or think of ‘em and think your thought, the thing you’d say. Think it with the intent you’d say it, say it to them in your mind, for them to hear. Intended for that. Then, they hear it. Just like that.

ST:       Same in reverse?

Erik:     As easy as a telegram.

ST:       Do those still even exist? OK, what happens if you have thoughts you’d rather keep to yourself?

Erik:     You can but it’s not as easy as being a human. That’s the huge advantage of being on Earth; it’s easier to file through and sort this shit; if you have a nice thought or something pleasant and positive; why hold it back? So here, we don’t. Remember, you’re not taking up anybody’s time, ‘cause there’s NO TIME! Ha ha ha ha ha ha…..But getting’ serious, what if you have a negative thought? Why keep it to yourself? ‘Cause it’ll cause the person to be uncomfortable? OK….then by feeling that way and shutting your trap and pretending, does that make the reason you feel like saying something not nice just go away? Maybe if you really don’t like someone, and nothing obvious caused it, maybe it’s you. Here….that’s all transparent to you. You don’t carry hidden agendas about yourself from yourself, like on Earth. So you see, thoughts and communication flow more easily.

ST:       Can we look anywhere?

Erik:     Pretty much.

ST:       Where can’t we look?

Erik:     Where it’s super dark, negative.

ST:       Why can’t we look there?

Erik:     No good reason to do it.

ST:       Super dark and negative sounds like hell.

Erik:     Damned right, you don’t wanna go to hell, ‘cause it’s like hell.

ST:       So the idea on Earth of a hell represents a place in the afterlife we call Heaven.

Erik:     It’s a condition, not a place. No good comes from looking in. The person there looks into themselves for understanding and must focus on that, without distraction. So they close themselves off to get it done.

ST:       But we can pretty much look anywhere else?

Erik:     ‘Cause we can go there; anywhere.

ST:       Up, down, left and right? Other galaxies?

Erik:     All that shit, it’s on the travel menu.

ST:       I have often wondered if the idyllic holiday postcard pictures of beautiful town scenes, where there’s always a little dimmer light but it’s daytime and we see beautiful cottages, hills, trees, the whole deal…if that’s a hint of Heaven.

Erik:     Sure is, but Heaven can be whatever you want, too. Make up a scene or place and when you want to change it, you do. Or you go to a place somebody else has created and you like it, so you just hang out. That’s just like Earth, ‘xcept where y’all are, there’s a cover charge. Try to hang around where it’s nice, like somebody else’s house. Stay long enough and they want money or you to leave. Not here man; you can visit and if you like it, pop the scenario into your mental photocopier and poof!

ST:       Mountains with roads going through?

Erik:     Yup, all possible.

ST:       Amusement parks?

Erik:     Yup, that too.

ST:       And I know, Earth’s troubles and tribulations exist so we can learn.

Erik:     And y’all do, WE do ‘cause I am a multi-alumni myself.

ST:       Are most souls in Heaven “graduates” of having lived in a physical body somewhere?

Erik:     No; we’re the minority.

ST:       Looked up to, admired?

Erik:     Yes, but not like Earth. There’s no privilege or rank, no classes of society. Mostly we who have lived on Earth admire ourselves; take satisfaction in our own development. What other souls admire is that we have appreciation of ourselves for what we’ve done.

ST:       Do souls who’ve lived on Earth miss it?

Erik:     Not really, mostly ‘cause we can – and do – visit all the time. Like anytime we want. Souls like to go be with the planet and the people and the other souls who shared lives with them there. Community thinking; this way of organizing life on Earth is just a natural way it already happens.

ST:       Any one thing you miss about Earth?

Erik:     I said a while ago on the blog; and I still miss it, the feeling of pizza in my mouth.

ST:       You can’t create a pizzeria and then pizza and pretend?

Erik:     Sure but there’s one difference; the creation of the pizza, from the pizzeria that was planned, designed, built and all that stuff…..there’s the difference. The energy of the people, their souls really, working in their bodies, those people all put their energy into the food. The cow that made the milk that was used by the cheesemaker, and all the wheat, then flour and doughmaker, the pizzamaker stretching the dough….the grower of tomatoes, the sauce maker and all the things that are used to make the pizza, the equipment…all that stuff, everything. All that shit had somebody do it, add their energy and all that together makes the pizza and THAT’S what makes it good when you bite down and put it into your mouth.  It isn’t the same here; unless we get everybody involved to replicate the steps the way it’s done on Earth. We could and it gets done sometimes, especially for music and art stuff, but when we can just make the pizza by imagining it, nobody really does it. Cool, ‘cause we don’t need food but y’all see what happens, on Earth, all that must be done. Things take time and since a lot of energy and coordination is needed, everybody interacts and learns.

ST:       All this takes time to plan; if making pizza is so complicated, what about building a power plant?

Erik:     There’s all the time in the world, ‘cause there’s no time. You say that all the time, and it’s true. So the whole scene is just re-set as you go. We can move fast enough and seem to suspend movement on Earth and re-adjust. This is what the Guardian Angel’s role is. So if there’s a step in the pizza process that needs to be covered; it’s put in where it seems to fit. On Earth, the linear time makes it all string together. Sometimes there’s a repeat or a rehearsal and when that happens it’s called “déjà vu”.

ST:       Thanks Erik, Ash suggested that for a future topic.

Erik:     That’s why I mentioned it!
