Last night was so cozy! It was 32 degrees, and it actually snowed! When we woke up this morning, there was ice almost everywhere. I don’t know why I get amazed by snow because I see more of it than I want to when we visit relatives in Norway, but we don’t get much of it in my neck of the woods so a couple of flakes and we get giddy. After I post this, we’re going to drive to the quaint little town of Fredericksburg to eat lunch and explore. Should be fun.
I hope you enjoy this multi-part series on crystals and other topics. I’m so in vacation mode that I’m not going to edit it so forgive the typos and misspelled words!
Me: How do crystals work in our reality?
Erik: The ones that are meant for healing and blocking out energy?
Me: I guess. Are there others?
Erik: That’s what most crystals are for.
Me: Okay.
Erik: I want to point out that crystals will work if you believe that they’ll work. Just like anything else, if you believe in it wholeheartedly, it’s going to have an effect. With crystals, how they work is this: Everything is made up of energy even down to a wall or furniture. Crystals have their own type of energy, and each individual crystal—say you have an amethyst or obsidian, it doesn’t matter. Each has it’s own vibration or “code.” When you charge them, it hypes up that code. What people do is charge it by putting—
Heather (To Erik): A task to it? Is that what you’re saying?
Erik (waving his hand): Just keep going.
Heather laughs.
Erik: With the crystals you can add the intent.
Heather: That’s what he was saying.
Erik: For example, you can put the intent on it that it’s going to protect you from unwanted and negative energy or even from your own doubts and fears. And when you place that intent on a specific crystal, and you have it on you or in your purse, it’s like having your own tiny little force shield with you.
Me: Oh!
Erik: It surrounds you. That’s what you intended for it to do. Of course you’re going to have to cleanse it because, over time, from blocking all this shit, it’s going to collect a lot of shit that you blocked out. Eventually, you’re going to have to cleanse it. That’s very important.
Me: How do you do that?
Erik: There are several different ways you can do it. When there’s a full moon, the most popular thing is to put the crystal out in the moonlight. Keep it out all night.
Me: Okay.
Erik: You can also do it during a clear day when there are no clouds or anything.
Me: Okay.
Erik: Or you can have it sit in water.
Heather: Are you saying, “salt?” Do you put salt in it? That doesn’t make sense.
(Pause)
Heather: Okay, fine. He says salt.
Eileen (my publicist who’s listening in): That’s what I say, too!
Heather (chuckling): I’m like, “No salt!”
Erik: Put salt in it.
Heather: He’s saying a specific type. Epsom salts.
Erik: Have it in that cup for 24 hours. Some people will take out the crystal and put it in their purse or wear it or whatever. Some people drink the cup of water and put the intent on it that, “When I drink this, this is what it’s going to do for me.”
Better check to see if Epsom salts are poisonous, guys.
Heather: That’s just weird for me.
Me: All right, so basically, our intent is our consciousness, and that energy, the consciousness, is manipulating the energy of the crystal to produce these effects? Is that what you’re saying?
Erik: Yes, in a way. The crystal, by itself, is already serving a purpose, but by placing that intent for yourself, if you don’t believe it’s going to work, then it won’t.
Me: Why not?
Erik: Because your beliefs create your reality.
Me: All right.
I guess the energy of our intent is amplified by the crystal.
Me: Are there any types of crystals that we can all benefit by having in our proximity, wearing it, sleeping on it?
Erik: My favorite—
Heather (chuckling): You have a favorite?
Erik: Kind of. Amethyst.
Me: Okay.
Erik: I’m looking at what an amethyst does specifically. From what I do to help others, the crystal helps with grief. It helps with doubt, fear, and it blocks out negative energy. You don’t have to wear an amethyst. You can put it under your bed so that you don’t have any more nightmares. You can carry it in a Baggie in your purse, put it in your pocket, wherever the fuck. If you can wear it on a fucking rubber band in your hair, I don’t give a shit. As long as you have the amethyst with you and you believe and know for a fact that it will help, then it will.
Me: Wow, interesting. What if we’re unsure of our beliefs? What if we’re like, “Oh, I hope it works, but…” How can we be more resolute in our beliefs so that our intent works?
Heather (giggling): Okay, he’s pacing.
Me: He’s a pacer!
Heather: I know!
Erik: Even with a hint of doubt, you’re not allowing for it to have its full effect. I’m not saying that when you even have the slightest hesitation or doubt it’s not going to work at all. It’s not like it’s going to be zero percent effective. That’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying that it’s better to have full belief in it—
(Pause)
Heather: Can you think of a better way of saying it? It’s okay if you take your time.
(Long pause)
Erik: It’s okay to have doubt. It’ll still work, but it just won’t be as effective.
Me: Okay. Is there another type of crystal you want to share with us that you think might be valuable for us?
Heather: He’s showing me it, but I don’t know my crystals, so… Can you tell me the name?
(Pause)
Heather (giggling): Okay! He’s yelling!
Eileen and Heather laugh.
Me: What happened?
Heather: He’s yelling at me!
Me: Oh, Erik!
Heather: Not like mean, you know, but… I asked, ‘What are you saying?’ and he finally said, “Obsidian, Heather! Obsidian!” He was loud!
Now I laugh.
Heather: Okay, okay. I heard you!
Erik: That’s another one.
Me: And what’s that good for?
Erik: Anxiety.
Me: Oh, okay. Is there any crystal that’s good for depression?
Erik: Obsidian. Also amethyst since it blocks out—I’m not saying depression is the result of negative activity, but amethyst helps with that. All crystals essentially block out anything that’s unwanted. Each crystal has its own specific twist to it. Just pick out a pretty one and put your intent on it, and it’ll help you will depression or anxiety.
Me: We’re probably drawn to specific crystals just like we’re drawn to certain colors.
Erik: Yeah, you’re drawn to the one your Higher Self feels it’s going to need.
Me: Yeah. Okay, I figured. Anything else on crystals? And Eileen, do you have anything else to ask about crystals?
Eileen: No, I agree with what he said.
Me: Okay. Is it true that you’re working with other spirits to do something bigger? If so, what is it?
Heather: That’s the first time I’ve heard of this!
Me: As if what you do now isn’t big enough!
Heather: I know!
(Pause)
Heather: He’s quiet now.
(Pause)
Erik: Yes, I am, but it ties into –
Heather: He’s communicating through his feelings again, and it’s kind of frustrating.
Me: Well, that’s what he tries to teach us to do, huh?
Heather: Yeah, that’s what he’s been doing with me. I’ve been pretty good at translating it, but I want his exact words.
Me: Yeah.
(Pause)
Heather (To Erik): Words, use words!
I chuckle.
Erik: It kind of would tie into the blog, but it’s kind of building on to it. It’s not that what I’m doing is not enough because it is, but from the blog, there’s going to be a—
Heather: He’s trying to find the word.
Erik: –a huge build-on. It’ll be this huge movement, I guess you could call it, stemming from the blog, but it’s not just from the blog. It’s from a bunch of other blogs and books being published about awakening spirituality, dealing with grief with a spiritual twist to it—it’s going to be helping with that in general.
Heather: He’s still trying to find the perfect words for it.
Me: Human language!
Heather: Yeah, like I understand the feeling he’s giving me, but he really wants to stress that the blog isn’t something he’s getting tired of. He wants to stress that it’s not something he no longer finds important anymore.
Me: Oh no. Huh uh.
Erik: There’s something bigger that’s going to happen that I want to be a part of.
Me: And how do you want to be a part of it?
Erik: I want to help in any way I can like be a teacher for others, to help guide them—not just those who are incarnated but spirits as well. Being part of that group, we bounce ideas off of each other on how to help—
Heather: Are you saying Earth, in general?
Erik: Yes. That’s what I want to do. That’s how I want to help.
Me: Cool, so basically, bringing spirituality to mass consciousness?
Erik: Yes.
Me: Well that’s pretty awesome. It’s about time!
Heather (laughing): That’s so much better than—why couldn’t you just say that, Erik?
Me: Yeah!
Heather: It wasn’t that hard!
Everyone laughs.
More on what he’s working on tomorrow!
