Enjoy Part Two of our interview with Dolores Cannon!
Me: Yeah. Well, let’s go on, and we’ll try to keep these really brief because I didn’t realize that so much time has passed! What was your spiritual mission?
Dolores: My spiritual mission was to feed the soul of humanity.
Me: Ah, there we go. Of course, and you obviously accomplished that, right?
Dolores: I’m very satisfied with the outcome.
Me: So that’s probably what you were here to teach—
Dolores: But I wished I had lived longer.
Me: Aw. Well, we do, too.
Dolores: I was injured.
Me: Oh, really?
Robert: She showed herself falling.
Dolores: And then I got sick after that. Then there was some confusion on how to take care of me, then that led to my demise, my physical body dying. But that being said, it was when I was supposed to go.
Me: Oh, okay.
Dolores: But the human side of me, which I still hold onto because at this moment I’m connected to that side of myself as Dolores, wanted to live longer.
Me: Okay.
Dolores: I had more that I wanted to say.
Me: Oh, that’s another question from the blog member, “If you were going to write another book, what would the topic be?”
Dolores: The nature of the soul. What I mean is what is its origin? What is it made of? Why does it exist? (clasping her hands in front of her) Oh, it’s so fascinating!
Me: Well, come back and do that! Are you going to incarnate?
Dolores: Yes and no.
Robert (chuckling): So, what do you mean by that?
Dolores: I like to deal in paradoxes. I mean that I’m going to live a life as a human being and also maintain myself as a soul completely. I’ll be two.
Me: Okay.
Dolores: And that side of me that’s still alive will live in two worlds.
Me: Wow. That will make it easier for you to come up with the information. You can just channel it from yourself!
Dolores: Yes.
Me: Awesome.
Dolores: That’s my plan. I want to show humanity how you can be the projector, the light source itself and the screen.
Me: So we know what you were here to teach. Were you here to learn anything?
Dolores: I was here to learn the value of being present in this world. By studying all the others, past, present and future, it helped me to realize just how important it is to focus on where you are now.
Me: Compared to your other lives?
Dolores: Yes, because those other lives, they’re part of the soul that you are. We must remember, and this is what I’ve learned, that there is only one soul. There is no separate Dolores Cannon soul or a separate Elisa soul. Those are all lives that exist that are reflections of the one soul. There’s only one Source.
Me: That’s true.
Dolores: So if a person wants to go down this path of looking at all these other lives, they’re placing a sense of self on those, that they ARE that person, that Robert Is that person or Elisa IS that person. Whether we realize it or not, that’s us connecting to our ego. “That is me.” Well, there is no YOU.
Me: The ego creates an illusion of separation so that we can act as individuals.
Dolores: Right. There is no YOU, and if you want to go down that road, you’re going to realize that every life that you connect with is actually just a reflection of that one soul, Source.
Me: I have to contact these credit card companies and tell them to stop sending me bills because I’m not really me.
Robert (laughing): That’s right!
Me: Send them to the collective! Let it pay them off!
Robert: She starts laughing. She does this a lot.
(He clasps his hands together and twists them a bit.)
Me: Oh really?
(I chuckle.)
Robert: She’s laughing and going like this.
(He repeats the pose.)
Dolores: But you are still living this life as Elisa, so technically…
Me: I know. I know.
Robert (laughing): She’s very gentle with how she moves.
Me: Okay. Do you have any regrets?
Dolores: There are times when I wished that I hadn’t worked as hard as I did because sometimes those I loved would suffer for it or I would miss things that I should not have missed, but ultimately, the work that I came here to do required that of me.
Me: Yeah.
Robert: She smiles a lot.
Me: Aw. Okay, let’s see. Tell us about the afterlife and the work you do there.
Dolores (again clasping her hands in that special way): Oh, I have so much fun!
Me: I bet!
Dolores: So much fun!
Robert (chuckling): That’s weird because that’s completely different from what I would have expected her to say! She said she always wanted to go skeet shooting!
Me: Really? Oh, that is SO random!
Robert (Laughing): And right when you said that, your screen got really bright!
Me: Oh, really? I looked away, but I’ll look at the recording. That’s funny.
Sure enough, my screen did light up.
Robert: Skeet shooting? That’s such a human, I don’t know. It’s so funny to me when spirits do that, when they like say something that’s very connected to the human side.
Dolores: As a soul, there are many things that, as humans, we sacrifice and don’t allow ourselves to do because there are other things that we’re here to do, but we still hold on to those as a spirit, and in order for us to let them go, we have to experience them.
Me: Okay, so you wanted to experience skeet shooting!
Dolores: Yes.
Me: Do you do any other kind of work there like counseling humans.
Dolores: I help others reconcile the life they lived as a human being to come to terms with who they are, to understand the infinite space that they are, and to understand that they are everything. Many times in our sessions—you could say I’m kind of a counselor of sorts—they have to come to terms with the fact that who they are talking to, me, is also them. They are talking to themselves. There is only one.
Me: Yeah, interesting.
Dolores: It’s hard for a soul sometimes, especially when they come back from being a human, to reconcile with the fact that there is only them, and everybody else is also them. There’s only one.
Me: Yeah.
Dolores: If you feel very connected to the body, that can be very lonely.
Me: What do you think about the state of humanity now, and do you have any messages or advice for us?
Dolores: I’m excited for humanity. Right now, they are in their adolescence, and in adolescence, there’s a lot of turmoil and a lot of temper tantrums.
Me: There’s a lot of that going on right now.
I’m referring to the presidential election.
Dolores: But that’s part of how humans have chosen to grow.
Me: Yeah.
Dolores: They are extremely emotional beings, and when the human mind doesn’t have a very good grasp of how to keep their emotions in a certain kind of state. If we don’t have boundaries and discipline for our emotions, then they’re like this all the time.
She mimics the act of juggling.
Dolores: They’re very volatile, and this is why so many human beings have a hard time trusting each other and themselves. People can’t be consistent in how they behave, but there’s no intention to hurt anyone.
Me: Okay. Do you have any advice for us?
Robert’s screen freezes so we have to restart.
I may or may not post tomorrow because I’m going to Kerrville for a short camping trip. I will be hosting the radio show though! Happy Hump Day, all!
