I asked Erik to give her a little introduction for you before we dive into our multi-part interview with Nostradamus. Now, without further ado, let’s welcome Michel Nostradamus!
Me: Hello Emma.
Emanuelle: Hi how are you?
Me: Long time no see.
Emanuelle: Yes I know (giggling)
We had just had a session on the third eye. Stay tuned for that one!
Me: So I guess Erik is still there, haunting you?
Emanuelle: He is still here.
Me: Hi, Erik. Do you wanna go fetch or can you go fetch Nostradamus for us?
Erik: I am all over it. (goofy)
Me: All right. I don’t know that much about Nostradamus, except he wrote these quatrains.
Emanuelle: The only thing I know is that he made predictions.
Me: The prophecies. Yes, that’s all I know. Well we’re going to find out a lot more, hopefully.
Emanuelle: Ok he is here.
Me: What does he look like, Emma?
Emanuelle: He is pretty tall. He has a beard and mustache, and it looks like he is wearing a dress! (
She giggles.
Me: Uh oh! A girly man! No, we’re just kidding.
Erik : Man, this is the 21th century. Dress appropriately !
Me: I know! Now watch him just zip on some jeans and a white t-shirt or something.
Emanuelle: Ok he just changed his outfit to a white suit and white tie, everything white. He looks very fancy now. It feels like he has a lot of energy, like he has a little bit of ADHD going on.
Me: Oh really! How interesting. Big energy, huh? Well thank you for coming in Mr. Nostradamus.
Nostradamus: Thank you for having me, you can call me Michel.
Me: Oh ok Michel, I have a daughter named Michelle. But I know you are from France so Michel is a nice guy’s name over there.
Nostradamus: Yes I was born in Saint-Rémy.
Emma: He’s is very polite.
Me: All right. Very interesting. So you were a psychic, right?
Nostradamus: Yes, I guess if that’s what you want to call it.
Me: Well how would you call it?
Nostradamus: Intuitive (He smiles.) It started as a child in my dreams. I had constant nightmares and because we lived in a time where everything was controlled by the Church, my mother had told me to keep it a secret and not tell anybody because they might think that I was possessed by the devil since I always saw very bad things. Because I was so young, it scared me so much that I would wake up in sweats, it was terrifying.
Me: Oh that’s awful!
Nostradamus: We lived in a very secretive age so a lot had to be hidden.
Me: Yes I can imagine. Now many think that the link between your quatrains and world events is largely the result of misinterpretations or mistranslations. What do you say about that?
Nostradamus: The translations are pretty accurate, but they are making it too complicated. They are always looking for the key to decipher it and it’s really very simple. I just used Greek philosophy and Greek legends as the key to the riddles.
Me: Ok well that’s not good because some of them are terrible, Have all your predictions so far have been correct?
Nostradamus: Yes, but some of them have been reduced because certain peoples started listening.
Me: Ok, free will, you know, it can change things.
Nostradamus: Yes and that is why I did what I did. My lesson to the world was that the future is not set and we can always change it. I tried to get my work out into the world so people could change these horrible events. If we could all put our minds together and connect our consciousness as one then we can change every event I’ve predicted. I wrote them down as a warning of what will happen so let’s do something about it. I never meant to scare people. I know I am not thought very fondly of. People think I am weird because of the darkness of my predictions, but know that I did it to help everyone.
Me: We don’t think you’re weird. I’m grateful. Now you were forced out of your first university when you studied medicine but the university closed down because of the plague. Can you tell us a little bit about that? Did you lose many friends? How was that whole time in your life as a student?
Nostradamus: I was never forced out of university. It was just closed, and I finished my degree later.
Me: Oh, ok and then you went to another university, and they blamed you for doing something with the apothecary and that wasn’t allowed or something so then you got expelled.
Nostradamus: I was always trying new things, and they didn’t like that. I always wanted to learn more than what they were teaching us. They didn’t like that so they would make up reasons to try to get rid of me.
Me: Wow, that’s horrible.
