I’m including two topics today, because both are short. I didn’t want to rip you guys off! I know these subjects don’t exactly go hand in hand unless we’re talking about empathic conjoined twins, but both topics are interesting. A lot of you are empaths, so you should get a better understanding of yourself from what follows. I doubt if any of you are conjoined twins, but if you are, give each other a hug after you read this. (teehee)
Me: What about empaths? Do they have a purpose?
Erik: Yes, they have a purpose.
Jamie (giggling): He asked if we could call them the crazy people, and I said ‘no’, then he said, “Okay.”
Erik: Yeah, empaths have a purpose. This should just be a natural way that we should be able to collect information. Every human being should be think way. We’re growing into it. It’s part of this whole Shift. We’re all going to be this way.
Me: Okay.
Erik: You’re welcome.
Jamie (laughing): He’s saying it so sarcastically!
Me: Are there different types of empaths?
Erik: What? Ones that are better than others?
Me: Okay. That’s it?
Erik: Yeah, that’s going to be like that everywhere. Some are more open to energy than others.
Me: Why do so many empaths fall victim to sociopaths and narcissistic psychopaths?
Erik: Because they think they’re so awesome—the empathic ones—in their ability to heal, that they’re going to stick around to the shit and make it better.
Me: Oh. Okay.
Erik: You know, we have those empaths, and they’re kind of different right now, because we’re not all empathic, so they’re seen as emotional.
Me: Right.
Erik: Okay. So, we kind of categorize them and shoot them off and they put this weird badge of, “I got to bear this burden” kind of a thing. And, over all, not necessary, but our society is kind of setting it up that way. So, they’re attracted to shit just like flies are, and they try to fix the shit so that others don’t have to do it. It’s just, you know.
Me: I see. Okay.
Erik: It’s created by themselves. Not true, but yeah.

Me: Tell me about conjoined twins. What’s the spiritual reason for that, etc.?
Jamie (to Erik, laughing): I’m not going if you’re not going.
Me: What?
Jamie: He’s talking about. He’s doing like this roll.
???
Erik: It’s sometimes about two people who don’t wanna be together, so sometimes they’ll sign up so that they cannot leave each other.
Me: Hmm.
Erik: It’s a way of learning how to cope.
Erik: And then some of them are—
Jamie: Ew! Okay, he says, “Like I said before, there are many different—I just want to the readers to know that there are many different reasons to sign up with a contract to be a conjoined twin.”
Me: Mm hm.
Erik: You know, one of them could be what I just mentioned. Another one could be the nature of having one soul split in two ways so that it can communicate with itself.
Me: Why would it want to do that?
Erik: Wouldn’t you always want to know yourself a little bit better?
Me: Oh!
Erik: It could be a past life incarnation and a current life incarnation that want to be together to grow a deeper bond within him or herself. And then there are times when people don’t want to be separated. Maybe they’ve had many life occasions where they were divided, separated, abandoned, and to live a life connected would heal those wounds. It’s just—why would a person be born with asthma? There are so many reasons for it.
Me: Okay. Any other reasons?
Erik: That shit is pretty fucking cool.
Me: Oh, wow. Any other reasons you can think of?
Erik: No, those are the main ones.
Me: Okay.
Good job, Erik!
Dear Reader,
The journey on which you’re about to embark will take you through stories that are deeply personal and involves a relationship between a mother and her son.
As a physician raised by two atheists, I had no personal belief system about life after death. In a word, I was a confirmed skeptic. As my journey progressed, my mind opened. It is my sincerest hope that yours will open as well and that you will have a greater understanding of your own life and what’s to come ahead.
Although Erik sometimes paints a rosy picture of the afterlife, time and time again he stresses that suicide is not the answer to one’s problems. If you struggle, please understand that the information in my blog and my book is no substitute for professional help. Please click here for a list of resources for help when you find yourself considering taking your own life. Know that they are readily available when you feel that hopelessness and despair that many of us feel from time to time in our lives.
I refuse all donations and ad revenue on the blog. It is my dream to one day establish a nonprofit organization that delivers a variety of spiritual services for those who have lost loved ones to suicide and cannot afford that assistance on their own. It’s a mission of love, sacrifice, and dedication.
Love and light,
Elisa
