At the beginning of my Erik Journey I started watching the you tube videos. I started with the Robin Williams interview and I was HOOKED – I had watched Martin Luther King, Jesus, Budah, JFK and I hadn’t read the blog quite yet.

A friend of mine who has had a rough go of it in life asked me to go to church with her (Lutheran) – when she was on her road to sobriety, I used to go with her for support. Church is most definitely NOT my thing. But if she needed me to go, I’ll go. While I was listening to the preacher and watching the high tech screen behind. He says…. God doesn’t like it when you stand outside of HIS will, he doesn’t like that! I’m thinking what kind of mind control is this??? All of a sudden I see Erik out of the Corner of my eye, doing the moon walk ala Michael Jackson, looks at me dead in the face and throws his hands in the air doing spirit fingers, looks right at me and says “BULLSHIT”!!!! I couldn’t help myself, I laughed out loud, startled the lady on the other side of me! I looked at my friend and asked her…. Do you believe that God loves us no matter what, there’s nothing you can do that would piss God off so bad he/she wouldn’t love you anymore? She said YES, Do you believe we are all God’s children and essentially that makes us all God, or made of God? She says YES again… Then HOW in the HELL can we stand outside of our own will?

I think the light bulb went off for her. I was pretty stunned and honored that Erik showed up in all of his humorous glory. And so the visits and pranks began.
