Ka-ching, Ka-ching

It’s official! The Channeling Erik U.K. event this August has a website, and they’re ready to sell tickets. Be sure you purchase them as soon as you can because Shruti wants to keep the event small and intimate, so there will be a limited number of spots. Click HERE to find out more. Note that my role in this is only as an encourager. I have no financial part in it and have not had any decision-making role. I just want to do everything I can to help Erik spread his love and wisdom around. Should be wonderful!

I give Erik another choice of topics.

Erik (rubbing his hands together in excitement): Ooo. God, Mom, those are good!

Me: I know! I had help.

Erik: I want to talk about the energy exchange of money.

Me: Yeah, now that nobody has any money after Christmas. Talk about the energy flow, how scarcity is an illusion and things like that.

Kim: He’s acting like, “Wah ha ha!” (She laughs) He’s being so goofy.

Me (chuckling): Of course.

Erik: All of you can relate to this. That’s why I want to talk about it. But keep that list, Mom, because I like that.

Me: Oh yeah, I will. It’s my go-to list.

Erik: All right, people. One thing I want to tell all of you is that when you handle money whether it’s getting groceries or tires for your car, how are you exchanging that money? Are you exchanging it with, “I’m grateful I have the money to do this right now,” or is it, “Shit, money is really tight right now? I wish I didn’t have to spend this money right now, but I am.”

Me: Yeah, that one. That’s the one I feel.

Kim: Yeah.

Erik: Every time you put that energy on the exchange, you acknowledge the tightness or lack of money so you’ll continue to manifest the same damn thing.

Me: Scarcity.

Kim: He’s really fired up about this one!

Me: All right!

Erik: I want people to understand what they’re doing with the energy of it. People also say to themselves, “How can I get more money,” or “How can I increase my finances?” Think about how you’re asking the question: “How can I?” “When will I?” When you ask the question that way, you’re acknowledging the lack of it, and you’ll manifest the same thing. It’s a vicious cycle. So instead of saying, “When am I going to increase my finances,” and “When am I going to get that raise,” as cheesy and cliché as it is, you really have to start finding your abundance. Find where you’re already grateful because when you put energy on the abundance you have, you manifest more of the same. Thoughts become real, people!

Me: I know! The universe is so literal. It gives you exactly what you put out to it like if you think, “I’m going to try to get more money,” then you’re always going to be in this perpetual state of trying to get money but never having it.

Erik: God, you’re so right, Mom. The universe is very literal, so if you say, “Someday, I’m going to have…” the universe doesn’t know when someday is so someday will never come. Instead—

Kim: He’s going to use me as an example again! Yay! So, I have some loans I’d like to pay off, and I’ve told the universe that I’m going to pay them off my April. Here I am in January and I can already pay them off if I want to. I can’t believe how the universe is so literal.

Erik: The universe will respond, but you have to be careful what you ask for and how you ask it. Also, a lot of you people, when it comes to money==

(Pause)
Kim: He’s so back and forth. This is an issue that can piss him off, and it’s also an issue that he’s very grateful to talk about. We’ll get to the pissed off part in a minute.

Erik: Be very careful what you ask for, but in asking for it, do you believe it? Are you just saying, “Oh, Universe, I’m going to be very wealthy by April.” But if you throw it out there, your energy has to match it. You can’t just verbalize it. It’s like stepping into that frequency of existence. It’s a whole other channel, a whole other reality, Mom.

Kim: He just jumped to why it pisses him off.

Erik (sitting back and striking a casual pose): Well, people are too driven by money. That orchestrates so many people’s actions instead of their hearts. Hearts should orchestrate your actions, not money or the pursuit of it. Fuck that. Now, don’t get confused. You can pursue success, but just don’t let the money behind it change who your are or your actions because then what’s going to happen is that will become your reality. When you exchange money with that looseness of who you are and you’re not rooted in yourself, you’ll find yourself more uncertain.

Me: It seems like the more you give, the more you receive. Can you touch on that?

Erik: That’s true, Mom, very true. There’s a lot of energy behind that statement. The more you give, the more you receive based on how you give. If you give because you want back, you’ll continue to manifest the wanting. You’re going to continue to have the absence, but if you give out of humble gratitude, “I’m grateful that I can give this, and I have abundance enough to give, you will attract abundance because you gave it in abundance. Think about this. People need to acknowledge what they already have. When you acknowledge your own personal abundance, you will build it. It’s acknowledging what already exists in your reality now. How does that work for people who are really stuck in poverty that really have nothing?

Me: Yeah, but they might have a friend. There’s abundance in that.

Erik: That’s when everybody, even the filthy rich—you need to not just count your abundance in things. This is deep, and it’s hard for people, but you really have to get inside and find your own personal abundance. Things are going to fall between your fingers, but this (pointing to his heart) won’t go anywhere. It might change; it might fluctuate, the colors might change, but your own personal abundance and love is always here. You can always tap into that. So don’t think of abundance as just things. This (again, pointing to his heart) is a part of everything. Realize that everything is one. Everything is connected, so you have access to all abundance. So for somebody who is barely scraping by like with nothing compared to people on the opposite end of the scale, know that your abundance is the Universe. Your abundance is you and the energy flowing through you that is a part of the Universe. When you connect to that, hold on to your hat because then you’ll realize your own personal abundance with the Universe, and you’ll also see it grow in your personal life.

Me: How do you connect to that?

Erik: By knowing it’s completely separate from ego. Again, ego says, “I have control. I have hierarchy and I need to understand, but love, when I step into love, I don’t have to understand why I’m connected to the trees. I just know I am.

Me: Oh, I see.

Erik (to Kim): Tell her love changes everything. So connecting to that sense of oneness, that one source of energy is really about surrendering everything: the needs, the desires, the wants. That’s all ego.

Kim: He just keeps talking about how the Universe is yours: the trees, the flowers, everything around you is yours. It’s given to you as a gift.

Erik: You all have abundance. You should all know that.

Me: Well, what about the person who hasn’t paid his last three months of rent and could be evicted and they’re struggling to put food on the table? What do you tell them? I mean, you have to take care of the human body. The physical body needs shelter and food and things like that.

Erik: There’s a lot that goes into that. How thought creates reality, what you contracted to experience when you came here, and I want to talk about hope and hopelessness because people in those situations kind of cave into feeling hopeless. They don’t have any hope left. They’re not sure if they can even get through tomorrow. That, in itself, part of fearing what’s ahead of you coming into the future: “I can’t pay next month’s rent let alone this month’s.” Think about what you’re doing. You’re separating from the moment, emotionally and energetically when you’re worried about what’s up ahead even though it might be a legit concern. You have to stay connected to here, to this reality. Now, in those moments, you might feel really hopeless because you can barely make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, but those people, first of all are here to learn certain things and that’s why they’re going through this experience, but their thoughts and emotions create that continuing cycle we talked about. “If I’m continuing to acknowledge what I’m lacking, I will continually manifest that reality of lacking this, that and the other.

Me: That’s true.

Erik: People have to realize that they really, truly have personal power to make the changes they want. They don’t have to have their friends and family justify changes or new decisions. If it’s what you feel in your heart, make those changes.

Me: So tap into the love. Love is All There Is. That way, you’re tapped into the Oneness. If you could try to feel love for yourself and friends and family and strangers and totally immerse yourself in that sense of love.

Erik: Yes, Love is All There Is. Everything else is just created. It’s made up (pointing to his head) up here and (pointing to his heart) here. It’s such a free place.

Kim: He’s singing “Free as a Bird.” I’m not going to try to sing for you!

Me (laughing): Well you probably have a better voice than he did. Is your voice better, Erik?

Erik (clearing his voice): La la la la la!

Kim laughs.

Me: There you go, Kim! You sang! That’s good. Thank you so much, Erik. Your wisdom is amazing. Gosh, it brings me back to me trying to teach you how to read and things like that, and now you’re teaching me so much.

Erik: I love it, Mom. I love being able to help people. I’ll never stop.

Me: I know. And thank god for Kim!
