SÁBADO СУББОТА ΣΆΒΒΑΤΟ

Today’s post was supposed to be about communication and language differences to illustrate it; that’s where the Spanish Russian Greek title came from. How technical. Ugh.

“Whilst” typing (Well, hello, Erik, and a merry Saturday to you, too!) I remembered from a few weeks ago a reader comment that “The Committee” interviews had less of the emotional connection, that personal piece that shines though so tenderly, that’s so touching, in so many Elisa, Erik and celebrity comments on so many things. Very true; that comment stuck with me.

I often think of my wonderful childhood, not for its perfection – far from it – but for the lessons and the experiences; the scrapes and shenanigans my brothers and I got into and the terrific examples my parents set, examples that have and will guide me always.

I am not alone; far from it. The moments of our memories, the foundations of our beings and the pillars of who we are have led us all here; to a happy and ever happier place on Earth. If yours has not been as happy as it could be? Welcome to the club, mine either; just wait. Let’s turn to The Committee.

45+ years later. I tried my hardest but I ended up dressed and shaved anyway.

  ST = substitute teacher C = Committee E = Erik

C:         With great joy and happiness we greet all of you whom these presents meet, our great friends on Earth whom we have all watched over the days of your lives as your journey has brought your tracks to cross here, at Elisa’s Junction. One and all, please post your photos of yourselves as children, so that you may all see yourselves as we see you. We do not say that you all children are; for you are not. We say this to help see what we observe and we feel when we look upon you on Earth as you read the words these pages present, the ideas shared and the love for each other that flows from you the one to you the many and in return. It is this that we see will happen on Earth and it is this we want you all to know will be.

ST:       Wow; thank you.

Erik:     No burping, just gas, OK?

ST:       Esteemed Committee, what of the disappointments, the frustrations and the sorrows of life? The regrets we wish we could redo?

C:         None of you would redo them; you would not throw gold and diamonds in the trash as we would, as we see in them the value they represent and so we might dispose of them for what they mean, except that humanity has taught itself to value. This does not mean it is wrong to value them, of course it is OK to do this. Jewels and gold are attractive. You can all value many things, and this does not diminish that value of the one for the appreciation of the other. It does not. Gratitude metastasizes, to use your medical term. Your love expands it grows and it contaminates all dislike with goodness.

We say this for what your disappointments and sorrows mean for you; many of us who on Earth have lived not, will always see the brightness of the light of joy, of tenderness and love that gushes forth from you who have endured these things and come to prevail. These things are valuable beyond your imaginations. We cite your Jesus as an example; to walk the Earth and set an example of generosity and goodwill was a benefit for this soul just as great as will be the benefit to you of this life and then more than that.

ST:       To compare any of us to Jesus? All I can say is “Jesus Christ!”; that’s blasphemous, isn’t it?

C:         If any soul could be on Earth at this time to see these changes soon to uplift you, and not displace the ones who have so bravely journeyed, they would do it. The list awaiting a life where you are is long, indeed and always growing. It has always been this way. You long ago joined this line and ventured forth and all things were done to make this an opportunity of universal value and joy. So it is.

ST:       So much struggle and disappointment on Earth.

C:       Yes, and this will soon see adjustment, as we will see many rail lines laid upon new ground, your trains rerouted and crossroads reset. Worry not, for we are always with you.

ST:       The tribulations of when we were all children; the things we remember. We all often think of them but do not speak about it.

C:         Speak soon, you shall. Huckleberry Finn you all are, each with a story of fur trapping and school fights and stunts with others, joys and hopes and trails of fun that all provided for you the blocks of your life. Your encounters chosen they all were; your benefits not known were they. You know these good things now; soon you will see what they of you have made!

ST:       Nobody wants to talk about the tough schoolteacher, the screaming parent, the embarrassments of so many things, the taunts and torments from others and the shame felt. I don’t.

C:         Look at the bully who threatened you and look who threatens you not today; look at those who laughed at you and made you feel small and cry; where might they be now? Where are you and when you see others treat the innocent this way, what is your answer?

ST:       I do see those things, a little.

C:         You who ridiculed and made fun of others, who mocked the clothes and hair and shoes, who pushed others away for their differences, what have you seen as you grew?

The opportunities to make amends, to be nicer, they have been many and those who have taken good advantage to change course, our blessings for your knowledge and gratitude to whom you tormented, for the opportunity you were given. To those who have not seen well to be nicer, keep trying, for we will all be there to help.

ST:       Committee, you all speak as if you, the group of you, were speaking to each one of us reading this, as an individual.

C:         For we are.

ST:       How many of you are there?

C:         We are all of your Guardian Angels, from your past and your present, all of them. We are all here for you, in a group speaking to all who come to these words. We have all waited for this moment.

ST:       Can you not speak to each of us individually?

C:         We the Guardian Angels speak now; collectively. To this we say; we do.

ST:       How could we know to read this blog and this entry to see these words?

C:         By your choice and your place, and you so long and near decided.

ST:       Near?

C:         For you were just where you are now as we all planned and agreed. A building site is surveyed where a structure will be built and so, too, do you see and look where you shall go.

ST:       Roadmap, location is time, all the rest, right?

C:         So you do see this, very good.

ST:      The tears, the anger, the sorrow of so many disappointments we knew; can we smile and be happy about them again?

C:         Yes.

ST:    The argument, the hurt and the anger, do these become meaningful or do we regret forever?

C:         You resolve these you do, and we cringe to see your heads held in your hands in tears, we do. To see you sad and lonely and lost; these are the steps you have chosen to climb yet no joy does the beauty of a destination provide when pain is seen as the rise takes place. For we cry with you and alongside you in silence, yet confident you will be lifted by your own strength. Fear not we say, in your saddest moment, as difficult as this sounds, for it does. We love you.

ST:       Will my problems be solved?

C:         Yes, be patient for your solution as you have decided it shall be.

ST:       Why can’t you, please, tell us why you know what we so need to hear; what we long to understand yet seem so lost to feel.

C:         We would tell you all in an instant but for your choice to not know.

ST:       I change my mind; I want to know.

C:         You knew and know now but you do not remember, this would come to pass and so you asked that we stand back and unfold the plan as you wanted. To change your tires as you drive would cause a wreck; you would not a crash want. Ask not to crash, then.

ST:       But so often it feels like a crash. That I’ve smashed into the end and there is no way out.

C:     Polish this jewel of discontent for that moment when we display our work, with the beaming pride of your success to all who would see, and it is a vast, vast number who would see this, and will.

ST:       Who will see us?

C:        The stage of your Earth in the universe is well watched, we do say. Many look and admire.

ST:       Admire what?

C:         You. All of you whom we love.

ST:       Committee and Angels. You would see and watch over us, please tell us what we should know.

C:         Go now, we say, with joy and happiness in your heart and look always up to the sky for we wait and watch and smile at what you do. Soon your friends and cousins will join you after so long away and a great reunion shall you all have. We in your Heaven, your home and your true place in all of existence, will all gather and feel the love your friends and cousins have for you and you shall soon have and remember them. Look up at the sky, for we are all there we are, as you see the beauty in the clouds and blue sky beyond, we also see the bright light of goodwill and love in each of you. Good day!
