Color, Music and Humor

The results of the poll for the radio show are in. Forty-nine percent of you think the amount of time for Erik’s discussion and for callers is fine. forty-three percent would like to have more discussion from Erik and the remainder want more time for callers. I imagine that last result was from those of you who waited patiently to talk to Erik but we couldn’t get to your call. Since we’re airing the show weekly, I promise everyone will get their chance eventually. Speaking of the show, however, we won’t be having one today because Kim has something going on that she can’t get out of. We’ll also both be on vacation April 21st, so we won’t have a show then, but otherwise, the calendar looks clear for a few months. For my vacation, I’m going to Ireland with my eldest daughter to the wedding of a blog member who my family and I have become very close to. Believe it or not, we met in Atlanta at the first Channeling Erik Weekend. I love Lesley and her fiancé, Ray. They’re a wonderful and fun-loving couple and they love their swearing like we do! I remember when we first took them to this big H-E-B. Lesley said, “It’s fooking huge!” in her delightful Irish brogue. It’s truly inspiring to see connections being made just because of CE.

Oh, and I hear the “nominate” button on that site for Amy Cavanaugh has been replaced by a “donate” button. Sorry guys. I guess that means the nomination process has expired! Send Amy lots of love, though!

Here’s a selection of posts from the past that I’ve pieced together:

Me: Are there special sounds for healing, Erik? Oh, and do colors heal?

Erik: Yes and yes.

Me: Okay.

Erik: Sounds do heal, vibrational healing. Look it up. What about that song that you here for the first time, and it just kinda lifts you up or brings you to tears.

Me: Yeah, sure.

Erik: It can trigger memory recall which can help heal, and it also trigger, um, well, back up, because sound is the deepest form of healing, because it moves straight through the body. It’s like in—

Jamie (chuckling): All right, Erik. I knew that, too! Massage, because I used to do massage therapy, and he said, just like with massage, the deepest form of massage isn’t the pressure points where they lay into you, crawl up onto the table, but it’s where they rap and beat on the body called tapotement (sp?) because it sends a vibrational element through the muscles, going further into the body when they use vibration, the rapping and the tapping.

Me: Ah! I see.

Erik: So, yeah, that’s how sound heals. It works on a cellular level.

Me: Okay.

Erik: It kind of attunes the body; it takes the vibrational element that’s out of balance, gives it a structure and kind of guides it along and color. Color has an energy wave to it. You can sit on it, lie on it, be around it to make you feel better. Also, if you like the looks of it, the chemistry in your body responds to it. It actually releases certain chemicals that brings along peace, wholeness, and helps you heal faster.

Me: Are there colors we have yet to see?

Erik: Ah, wait until you die!

Me: Oh boy, I can imagine. That’s what I’ve heard.

Erik: But let our listeners, um, our friends know that it’s so important for their environment to be attractive for them.

Me: Yeah.

Erik: You know, if they don’t like the way it’s organized, they need to fix it.

Me: Exactly.

Erik: If they don’t like the color of the walls, they need to change it.

Me: Okay now. I’d like to ask about the spiritual basis of humor. For me, humor seems like a very spiritual experience. And it seems like a lot of highly enlightened, spiritual entities—incarnate or discarnate—have such a great sense of humor.

Erik: Yes, and I can tell you this, something I’ve learned. A lot of times guides that people have, if that person has a great sense of humor, their guide will usually match that. It’s like they attract people who kinda have a similar personality or sense of humor. Joy and laughter are always spiritual in nature. I mean, think about it, Mom. What’s the opposite of joy?

Me: Sadness, I guess.

Erik: Hell yeah.  These are polar opposites like light/dark, happy/sad. So it takes humor and joy to balance out life as you know it. People who have crossed over, um, when you’re on THIS side, Mom, there’s just so much joy and happiness that it’s easy, so easy to have that sense of humor. Practical jokes that are harmless add to the fun that I can have here.

Me: Well, duh. We see that side of you all the time now!

Erik: Some things you’ve heard from other people, like tickling. It’s just a freakin’ riot! It brings me joy as well as the people over there.

I chuckle.

Me: Well, I think it raises our vibration, too, both to have the sense of humor or to be on the receiving side of it!

Erik: Yeah, that’s right, Mom, and as a physician, you know and have read lots of stuff about how laughter heals.

Me: Oh yeah, exactly!

Erik: It releases so much tension.

Me: Um hm!

************

Me: Okay, let me ask you this one again. I asked you this through Jeannie last week. What’s the spiritual basis for humor?

Jamie (puzzled): The spiritual basis for humor?

Me: Yeah. I mean, humor is such a wonderful thing. It brightens people’s lives. We’ve already talked a lot about the spiritual basis for music.

Erik: Yeah, that’s all about connection to the spiritual realm and healing. Besides what I’ve already told you, humor is like having too much love in the body that can’t come out.  It’s like the body has to have these small convulsions so the love can kinda laugh itself out.

Jamie laughs.

Me: Oh, that’s so true! And Erik—you are so like that, because you’ve always been so funny! So you’re just full of love! You’re just a burning chunk of love!

Erik: Full of Love, Baby!

Jamie and I laugh.

Me: Okay. Now, what is the connection between our love of music and our soul?

Erik: This is what makes me most excited, because I love my music, you know. Music is the voice of the soul. It comes from a place in the soul. Some can be dark, but most is full of light. It’s the voice of the soul.

Me: What about for humans on the earthly plane. What is our connection to music? Is it something different?

Erik: I picked this up pretty quickly, too, because I love music so much. All art, painting, sculpting, music, drama, acting, whatever, comes from a connection to the spirit world. It’s why artists and musicians go into a space when they create. They’re not in, um, it’s like they’re not in their bodies. They hear things or see things to paint. It’s the closest thing they can have to the spirit world on an unconscious level. It’s all channeled. Those beautiful painting don’t come from the physical. They come from the spiritual. It can be channeled from the Higher Self or other spiritual beings. So I guess music is also a connection between the spiritual realm and the physical one.

Me: Wow! So you say you hear music everywhere. What kind of music is it and how is it created? And is it just in each soul’s mind or is it really out in the ambient environment?

Erik: Oh, I never thought about if it was different for everybody else, like in their minds. I just thought everybody hears what I hear! I can ask  and let you know, but for me, it’s everywhere. It’s beautiful. It’s notes and harmony that goes so perfectly together. It just IS incredible. There’s a lot of singing and musical instruments—some I’ve never seen before. There can be different music too, just like on the earth. Some fast, some slow, but all so friggin’ beautiful.

Me: Amazing! Does it do anything to the energy of the soul?

Erik: Yep, it brings an incredible peace. It’s a peace and beauty. That’s the only way I know how to explain it, Mom.

****************

Me: What is the connection of our love for music and our soul, specifically? Have you learned a little more?

Erik: It’s the sound vibration—it’s in harmony. And you’ll find that when people can create instruments that listen to our bodies, they’ll discover that our bodies can actually create music.

Me: Wow!

Erik: They create sound that our ears don’t hear. And when those sounds are in harmony, our systems work properly. That’s why it feels so good sometimes to lie flat on your back and listen to the music and feel it.

Jamie: He shows me an image of a table with those sticky sensors, you know the white round ones they put on the skin.

Me: Oh yeah.

Erik: They’ll be a way they’ll do that, and they’ll be able to measure and play back the sounds of the body. Mostly what you’ll hear is a really AWFUL sound! It won’t even be like music. And there’ll be ways that you can lie on a table and have the vibration of the sound—like coming through the speakers or from a tuning fork or a person playing live music—and it will tune that person like tuning a piano.

Me: How cool!

Erik: Yeah, I know. And it’ll strengthen or loosen the sounds, uh, vibrations, to create a harmony in the body.

Jamie starts giggling.

Me: What?

Jamie: He’s giving me the example of the (more giggles) the phlegm flute? The phlegm flute, Erik? Really? (yet more giggling)

Me: The phlegm flute? That does NOT sound very attractive or appetizing!

Jamie and I giggle hysterically!

Jamie: Erik, what are you doing?!

(Long pause. I can hear occasionally snickering from Jamie.)

Jamie: This one’s from a guy that created—it looks like a flute that you blow into and you play, and the vibrations loosen the phlegm in the lungs.

Me: Ew, gross.

Jamie: And so it’s a natural way of releasing phlegm and toxins in the body without using chemicals. Just simple sound vibrations.

Me: Oh, good! Very interesting. I bet the EFT probably helps our vibrations too.

Erik: Hell, yeah.

Me: Okay, now you say you hear music everywhere. I know I asked you this a while back through another channel, but I’d like to see if you’ve got additional information now. What kind of music is it, and how is it created? Also, is it in each soul’s mind or is it ambient music, or—

Erik: Ambient music, and it comes from other living beings.

Me: Ah! You know, I keep getting this in my mind and I’m not sure where it comes from, so maybe it’s channeled, but I get that plants create—-oh my god—a lot of music and that maybe that’s part of their healing properties.

Erik: Yep.

Me: And we can’t hear it, but it does affect us by affecting our vibrations.

Erik: They have full-on emotions; they have thought processes. They may not move as quick as us, so WE decide they aren’t intelligent, and—

Me (chuckling): They probably move a lot faster than my kids when I remind them to come downstairs and do their chores!

Jamie laughs.

Me: So it’s all relative.

Erik: True, all relative.

Me: So it’s created by all the dimensional beings—ah. So what does it sound like? Can you even describe it?

Erik: Well, to my ears, they sound like strings, like a long bass note with the violin playing. And it’s harmonies. It’s never just one sound or note. It’s the interaction of everything together.

Enjoy your day, peeps! But first, watch Kim and Erik’s interview on Wisdom From North HERE.
