First off I want to send my love and prayers to Erik’s family and to Erik. I was so touched and moved emotionally by this story. I could not stop tearing up and could not get this family’s story out of my mind that night and into the next day. So, the next morning I went for my usual morning walk. (I like to do a walking meditation and listen to either prayers, meditations, chakra clearings , etc., on audiobooks or downloads. ) Well, this morning when my audiobook had begun to play, it had been speeded up so it sounded really funny. Could this have been an Erik prank? It made me smile to think it could have been Erik. It has not happened before and has not happened since.

Erik’s story resinated with me so deeply because, while my son is still alive, he shares some of the same struggles that Erik had. We had come to what I believe was a very critical time with our son when he was 20 and things could have gone either way. We were very lucky to have had come through it all intact and I like to think we worked through one of our a live’s lessons together.
