Believe it or not, Rune and I are going on another trip. It was planned long before he was told about the company trip to Deer Valley, but I’ve barely unpacked and have to pack again to leave Friday morning. Of course it also means I won’t be with my baby, Bella and my kids and grandkids again, and I missed them all so much even during that short trip to Utah. But Rune needs to visit his father in Norway because he’s getting up in age, and you never know when it’ll be the “last time.” Plus, we want to see our other relatives there. After some time in Norway, we plan to meet my sister, Laura, and her husband, Jim, in Barcelona where my side of the family is from. We’re going to meet my cousin, Elena Barraquer Compte, who is one of the principals at the famous Barraquer Clinic. She’ll take us to lunch and give us a tour of the clinic, the birthplace of ophthalmology where physicians from all over the world, including the U.S., come to do fellowships. Elena is a remarkable person. Every month, she spends several days in Africa performing hundreds of corneal transplants on those suffering from trachoma and other diseases affected the cornea and causing blindness. I’m very proud of her. Last week, while we were in Deer Valley, her father, the famous ophthalmologist Joaquín Barraquer, died at the age of 93. He had a wonderful life and accomplished much, but he worked up until the end.

If you’ve been trying to get on the air to ask Erik a question for several weeks in a row with no luck, email me at emedhus@gmail.com.
This post is about a people I never heard of until a blog member tipped me off. Enjoy!
Me: I have this other question from a blog member: “I’ve been a reading member of the Channeling Erik blog for quite some time now. I’ve emailed you before. I was wondering if at some time you could ask Erik whether the a) Dogon people of Mali had knowledge of atoms, particles, cosmology and quantum physics long before the western world did, and b) was the knowledge taught to them by aliens from Sirius and c) were the Dogon people the authentic Egyptians?” Okay, we’ll just start out with whether they had knowledge of atoms, particles, cosmology and quantum physics.
Erik: The people that person is referring to is not who they were. They did exist. They were human beings, but they didn’t call themselves that.
Me: They didn’t call themselves what?
Erik: The Dogon.
Robert: From Mali?
Me: Yeah.
Robert: Okay.
Me: So they weren’t called that, but did they have an understanding and knowledge about atoms, particles, cosmology and quantum physics?
Erik: That particular group—
Robert: Oh, he’s showing me a visual of where they came from.
Me: Where’s that?
Robert: Parts of southern Europe and northern Africa.
Me: Okay.
Erik: They originated in northern Africa. They did like what the Indians called, “vision quests.” They’d get high.
Robert laughs.
Erik: Then they’d go on these vision quests and see what the universe was like, and then ride (or write?) it down and get in touch with all that information. In a very subtle way, they helped to guide us to get to quantum physics, to understand the solar system because it looked like an atom. This helped us expand our awareness of the fact that there is so much more than what we see on this planet.
Me: Are you saying that they were able to hallucinate—with the help of hallucinogens—and have a vision quest to the smaller and smaller and smaller until they got to particles like atoms and electrons and all that?
Erik: Right.
Me: Oh, okay. I’ve heard of that before. Did they learn this from aliens?
Erik: No, this was more of a—
Me: And what did they take because I want some of it?
Robert: Yeah, right?
Erik: It’s not anything anyone today is familiar with.
Me: No licking toads?
Erik: No, no licking toads.
Robert: Oh, that smell came back! It’s like powder shoved up my nose!
Me: Like baby powder?
Robert: Yeah!
Me: Aw! Maybe Michelle is having her baby soon! Maybe it’s a sign from Erik!
Robert: Well, Erik said that.
Me: Okay. That’s my daughter, Michelle.
Robert: There was a guy who came across when I was meditating earlier. He says his name is Molochai. I didn’t know who he was. Okay, what were we talking about? I got distracted!
Robert laughs.
Me: We were talking about the hallucinogen they used. They didn’t get the help of aliens, but—
Robert: He was showing me what it was made of. There were several different types. One of them was a fungus that grew in that area of northern Africa, and then there was another area where they used a bark mixed with—ew—manure.
Me: Oh! What kind of manure?
(Pause)
Me: Man, you gotta be desperate!
Robert: Goat manure.
Me; Oh, man. Okay. Well it better work!
Erik: The goats were fed a certain food.
Me: Oh! Interesting. So, were the Dogon people the authentic ancient Egyptians?
Erik: Yes. They were the ones who helped create that society long before that society was called that.
Robert (chuckling): He said they were from northern Africa. That’s Egypt, right? I sound like a stupid American!
Me: All right. That’s interesting. Anything else on these people?
Erik: They knew how to party!
Me: I guess they did, doing all those hllucinogens! It’s like having a kegger but times infinity.
Robert: Yeah, he was just showing me this visual of how they had small, close knit groups, and they always had one person who was kind of like the elder, the person who was spiritually connected. They were big into all of that. They influenced us a lot because he shows me how they actually helped to plant the seeds for Wicca, witchcraft type stuff.
Me: Oh, okay.
Erik: Because it was all about the earth. They were the first hippies.
Robert laughs.
Me: I guess so!
Robert: He showed this man in an animal cloth outfit but with round glasses and a peace sign!
Me: Oh, my god. All right, so how long ago did they exist? Were they before Christ?
Erik: Yeah.
Robert: I just saw the number 30, so I don’t think humans were here 30,000 years ago, were they?
Um, yeah.
Erik: We were around for over 100,000 years.
Robert: That’s a long time!
Me: So what did they know about cosmology?
Erik: They understood that stars move in a certain way. This is not unique to them. A lot of cultures had figured that out, that you could follow and figure out when the seasons were changing, what was a good time to plant.
Me: Were they hybrids of aliens since they had that kind of intellect? Did they have some alien DNA in them?
Erik: Not like what people might think. It wasn’t like aliens came and interjected their DNA into them.
Me: So were they pure humans?
Erik: They were just like everyone else, but the environment, in part, and also the nurturing in the little groups shaped how their brains reacted to the environment like how much observation they’d put into a situation, how agile they are with creativity and things like that.
Me: So they had nothing to do with aliens at all?
Erik: No.
Me: Okay. Interesting
Erik: Way back when human beings were kind of walking hunched, they had experiences then. Then when human beings started becoming civilized and developing big cities, which happened simultaneously in multiple places—
Me: Like the Mayan, maybe? And the Egyptians?
Robert: That’s exactly who he brought up!
Erik: The Mayans, the Incas, the Egyptians. They were involved with us then. Then there was one time—everyone talks about Roswell and all that stuff—that was the time period when they were watching over us because we were doing nuclear weapons. Somehow they influenced us then, but it was very, very under the covers. It wasn’t as open as it was in the past. I don’t know, people were, uh, their minds were different [earlier on.] You would have thought that [early man] would have been more freaked out in ancient times, but today they’d be more freaked out. Also, we’re much more powerful. It’d be easier for us to hurt them, collectively, today, so they have to be more cautious.
Me: Aw.
Erik: Because we have the power, but still the fear.
Bad combo.
Erik: So, they won’t really walk around with us openly until we’ve matured. We have to let go of our fear.
Me: Yeah.
