Erik on Heaven and Crossing Over

My son-in-law had to leave town for orientation for his new job and, since Michelle works the night shift as an ER nurse, I’ve been taking care of Arleen and Easton. Arleen pretty much takes care of herself, but Easton is a perpetual motion machine, pressing every button, opening up every drawer and cabinet, sometimes disemboweling them, unrolling toilet paper, throwing the dog food out of the bowl and more. And this is even with me keeping an eagle eye on him! He makes one mess, and while I clean it up, he’s making another. But the thing is, he’s so, so sweet and tender. We play silly games together and one game is as follows: He pinches me (lightly) and I pretend to cry. I’m a pretty good actress, so I think he kind of believes me every time and looks very serious and concerned. Then I burst out laughing and he does the same. We were playing it for a while with him sitting in my lap facing me when suddenly he throws his little arms around me and says, “I yuh you, Mimi; I yuh you, Mimi; I yuh you, Mimi!” My heart melts. I’ll take this little busybody any day over a toddler who is a handful because of sour temper tantrums! Oh, and he loves vacuum (gack-um) cleaners as you’ll see in this clip.

Easton in Action

As with a lot of 2+ year-olds, Easton has some cute speech quirks like pronouncing Ls as Ys. So, he says Yukas instead of Lukas and yight instead of light. But here’s one I have NEVER heard of: With several words, he attaches “gn” to like car-gn, outside-gn, cold-gn. Have any of you ever heard of that?

Oh, and don’t forget that tomorrow at 6 PM CT is Erik’s Hour of Enlightenment radio show. In Thursday’s show, before taking calls from listeners, Erik will offer assistance to those who are wanting to leave the earthly plane and take a break from the roller-coaster ride of being human. Then, Veronica Drake will channel him when he takes questions from callers. Call 619-639-4606 15 minutes prior to talk to Erik. I’ll see you among the list of callers and I usually go down the list from first on. If you’ve tried to get on to talk with our boy more than 4 times, email me at emedhus@gmail.com and I’ll see what I can do. Honor system, though!

Finally, here’s a funny Erik story. When her was around 4 years old, Pappa asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up, and he said, “I wanna be a king.” So Pappa asked, “How are you going to make money?” Erik replied, “Like this” and extended his hand out, palm up.

Please support Erik and me by buying copies of our books available in all formats. They’re very inexpensive and worth the life change. Authors rarely make money on nonfiction, and I knew that going in, but my hope is to cover the enormous costs (including the $30,000 I paid because they required me to hire an independent publicist.) Of course, I get paid in other ways by helping others and, in the case of Erik’s book, healing myself!) Here are the links:
