Erik on Senses and Emotions in the Afterlife

In this part of the channeling session, Erik shares how senses and emotions differ between discarnate and incarnate souls. Not only did I find this information fascinating, it also seemed so very real and true. Be sure to read the Antal story after the transcript at the end of the post. Talk about synchronicity!

Me: Okay, let’s talk about emotions and feelings and senses now, Erik. How do these change or evolve after you die?

Erik: It’s strange that we don’t have a—

Jamie: A stop reflex, Erik? What’s that?

(pause)

Erik: It’s like when you put your hands to the wall, your fingertips stop when they touch the drywall. We don’t do that. Our bodies move through the drywall; we feel the drywall. We feel the density of it; we feel the change of space. It took me a while to get used to that.

Me: Um hm.

Erik: So holding hands with your girlfriend over here is very different. We can do it, but it’s more like our hands are sharing the same space, merged together.

Me: Oh! Wow, how interesting! Okay, what about emotions? How do emotions change like sadness, depression, and grief once you are discarnate?

Erik: Where I am, that just doesn’t exist in the same way.

Me: But I remember you expressed that you felt deep remorse when you saw us grieve over your body. How is that different from the remorse people feel here?

Erik: Well, you know how people suffer from depression on the earthly plane, they feel like there’s no way out, no doors, no windows, no light?

Me: Uh huh.

Erik: If someone has depression here, all the doors would be open, all the windows would be open, and all the lights would be on. So it’s more difficult to stay in the moment of depression, but you can, if you’re extremely focused on it.

Me: Uh huh.

Erik: Others can see how you feel. You can’t hide things here, Mom. And if I see someone focusing on depression, I have the choice of letting them have their moment, or I could send them more light. We all work in the way of community.

Me: Okay.

Erik: It’s like we’re not so attached to the lower emotions here. It’s more objective and detached. It doesn’t consume us like it does with people on the earthly plane.

Me: Ah!

Erik: Over there, you feel like you have to have the positive with the negative, the right with the wrong. Here, we just have what “is.” All that is, is. It’s a very harmonious existence. On Earth, we would define that as joyful, blissful.

Me: Okay.

Erik: So, you can have those focused pockets of jealousy, regret, sadness, anger, but they’re short lived and they feel very watered down.

Me: Very interesting stuff, Erik. What about the other senses like taste and smell? Can you taste the pizza you create and eat?

Erik: Ah, to a heightened degree, yes!

Me: Oh, really? Wow, but you don’t have taste buds, so do you just go by the memory you take with you of those flavors?

Erik: Not only memories, but our energy can merge with what we’ve created, like the pizza. That, in itself, heightens our senses. Our senses absorb that energy and give it a richer experience.

Me: Hm!

Erik: So we can create it, we can look at it, we can define the colors, shapes and sizes. We do have a sense of touch, but it’s more like a merging experience, and with that comes texture; with that comes the emotions from the item—

Me: Oh, wow!

Erik: –with that comes the sense of taste, but it’s more like it starts in the belly and goes outward instead of staying just in the mouth. For taste, there’s not just one place that gets it. That’s how it is when we’re humans; the tongue gets it.

Me: Uh huh.

Erik: Over here, the whole soul gets the experience. We have sound, of course. And then, there is smell, but it’s kinda what I imagine a dog’s sense of smell would be like. It’s really heightened.

Me: Oh, okay. So, how do you bring forth smells to us? I mean, how does that happen? How do you work or manipulate energy to do all that?

Jamie (laughing): Erik! (She hears everything Erik says first, then relays it for me word for word.)

Erik: You mean like when I make rotten fish smells or rank sock smells?

Me (chuckling): Uh huh.

Erik: Well, everything has a formula on Earth, so I just replicate that energy formula, and I put it in that space. It’s like a form of creation.

Me: Oh, okay!

Erik: Even though I know the material item behind the smell doesn’t exist, I create the energy formula for its smell.

Me: Erik, that’s so fascinating! How can you move things? Okay, like that little boy, Antal, who crossed over. He’s been communicating with his Dad by leaving bright green Airsoft pellets around. And I had totally forgotten about that story, that ADC Endre shared with me, but I found one of the exact same color in my kitchen the other day. We don’t have any Airsoft guns around, and the kitchen has recently been completely gutted and remodeled: new floors, counters, everything. I think it was a message from Antal thanking me for letting him communicate with his dad. Now, how do you move things, objects on the earthly plane, and how did this Airsoft pellet appear? If you were to have done that, would you just create it?

Erik: Yes. If we’re bringing in something new, we create it.

Me: Oh, okay.

Erik: But if we were to move a glass on the table, then would create a denser energy behind it to push it along. It’s like you using the denser boundaries of your skin, your hand, to be able to push against the glass and move it.

Me: That is so very cool Erik, and it makes complete sense!

Here’s my Antal story: Yesterday, I was watching TV by myself in the den when all of a sudden I heard something drop from a considerable height: Ping—–ping—–ping—-ping—-ping—ping—ping–ping–ping-ping-ping-pingpingpingpingpingping. The cats were all upstairs, the ceiling fan was still, and there were (thankfully) no two pound, Texas-size roaches to blame. I instantly received an image of Antal in my mind’s eye and scoured the floor to confirm my suspicions. Sure enough, there it was: a bright green Airsoft pellet as plain as the nose on my face. It had appeared out of thin air, dropped from Heaven. Furthermore, until I continued where I left off on the channeling session, I had no idea what this entry would be about. Obviously, Antal did, and wanted to share  little prelude! Is some of Erik’s mischief wearing off on you or is it the other way around, Antal?

One more thing: Today I saw an interview of a child who, at the age of four, almost died from a ruptured appendix. After the surgery, he described hovering over his parents, giving exact details of what each was doing. He also shared a conversation he had with Pops, his great-grandfather who had crossed over well before he was born. This adorable little boy shares many more experiences of his journey to the afterlife in his book: Heaven is for Real. I ordered it today and will let you know how it is!
